We lost Shockwave and its legendary driver today at Battle Creek. Chris Darnell was by all means an amazing showman who even with a machine that would make it hard to be humble, was one chilled-out nice guy. The Airshow world will never forget his showman spirit and the machine he handled so well.
Seen this truck in person. They call it the Shockwave because when he blasts that engine into full throttle, it literally feels like you just got punched in the chest. Hard.
It’s actually called Shockwave because the guy who built it is Les Shockley. He drove it for a long time, then his son, Kent, took over. Now it’s somebody else, but the name has stayed the same.

Just saw this truck tonight at my local drag strip 276 mph and had to shut down early it’s insane the heat and how loud this jet truck is even with plugs in insanity loud great experience
Probably not that big. They put on just enough fuel for the warm-up + the race, because if it had more than that and crashed, it would turn into a huge fireball.
We were at the air show in Camdenton last weekend. The Darnell Family and Aftershock team are truly a class act. They put on a outstanding show. We can’t wait to see them again when they come to town!
this guy is still going wow, i remember like 15 years ago he raced a plane in my city, except the plane had a guy standing on top of it during the race lol that was crazy.
2:23 my favorite part is when the plane just comes, there’s a second where the truck isn’t there, and it just zooms out from behind the parked jet which i think is one of the blue angles correct me if I’m wrong
Global warming isn't caused by one fucking jet truck, the fact we have planes that drop chemicals in the air known as chemtrail, contrail is a condensation trail, chemtrail is a chemical trail, and the chemicals are supposed to protect us from the ozone which there isn't anything to protect us from they're just destroying the Atmosphere, and it's going to kill us. Global warming is just a natural thing
all those jet powered vehicles are very volatile,im amazed there hasnt been others,i saw it in person also,at a airshow at miramar,i think he raced an old russian mig,then again at new england dragway
