I was a village of ruidoso Fire Fighter. Paid, for many yrs. It was common knowledge among us that many of the fire started where suspicious in nature. Because the tribal folks would start them for the money. Type 2 fire camps with all the resources that were needed paid out big bucks to suppress those fires. Those folks that started the conflagration could careless who it affected, so long a they were getting paid. It got so bad that they started posting residents of the reservation to block remote forst back area access, this was a common occurrence. I will miss ruidoso...at 1 time i had a home in Brady Canyon. I hope they prosecute those responsible and charge them for the innocent lives lost and the cost of the fire. Breaks my heart...
