Shoegaze Guitar - Using VST ONLY

This is just a rough shoegaze guitar demo by turning on 1 effect at a time starting from scratch. I'm using my own alternate tuning called C# G# Eb Bb G# C# I haven't really used it in anything so I might as well use it here since MBV uses their own tunings.
DAW: Reaper

All of the are free and easy to find by just googling around except for Valhalla Uber Mod. You'd have to find keygen versions of Valhalla if you don't want to pay for it.
Marshall Cab Plugins:

I'm only using Marshall cabs.. There are other impulses in there if you want to experiment around.
when you unzip it, go to Heavy Metal Guitar Mix Package (Scorge120)/Guitar Impulses/Guitar Impulses/RW Impulses. From there you could choose which Marshall Cab you want.. ranging from what mic that cab uses and which khz/bit.. SM 57, Sennheiser.. ect

I don’t use plugins/VSTs, I just stick to a Marshall Plexi with some pedals. But I consistently come back to this video to hear these sounds. Beautiful tones.

It's interesting that that much trebel made that tone of yours sound good. I did an actual shoegaze mix and mine ended up with needing less treble than that for my ears and my pickups with a tiny bit of distortion. This is with different pickups and it has some virtual effects pedals. It's amazing what exists out their for amp/effects simulation now. Good tones and chord choices here man.

Nice tone. But why did you place the cab simulator before the amp? It's supposed to be placed after the amp.

yeah I know sorry about the signal flow there.. I simply forgot about it. That and I couldn't get the mouse pointer to show up on the screen recorder either.. But I did use amp and then cab on all my vst videos since Hummer. I probably make a better shoegaze video sometime..
