Shoeing a Horse with Handmade Lateral Extension Horseshoes 

I’ve watched many videos of farriers now in the US and abroad and you were the first and only farrier I saw dust off the foot off to make sure there was no debris before you put the shoe on.. well done.

What products do you recommend owners use, especially for field horses here in the Pacific Northwest?

Hey Gavine, what brand of shoeing tool caddy are you using? It looks like you can swivel it around and use it from both sides, with different tools on either side. Is that correct? I am using 3 - the hoof stand with magnets and pic tubes screwed into it for tools for trimming, a homemade welded adjustable peg with 4 magnets for clinching tools, and the 'Shorty' box for shoeing. I'd like to have 'all' the tools in one place, plus a shelf with room for nail boxes, CS mud, etc. Yours looks like it might have all of that.

Such bad idea these shoes. They go from no load to fully loading the joint and entire leg too fast. Snapped my horses patella.
