@@mangosteak When talking about Brock Hampton he said the word gay and used it as an insult rather than identifying them on their gender attraction which in this day and age wouldn't fly well knowing how there are big communities within Twitch that would be offended by that and have taken down streamers for it but Ctc obviously didn't mean it as an insult and they were just super scared

This whole vod is Matt taking a one sentence comment that was instantly forgotten to time, and making it a big deal while ctc is alleviating the awkward tension with comedy, and shofu just trying to regain control of everything

But they clearly dropped it completely after he said that one sentence, shofu cut him off before he could continue, and subtly changed the direction of the condo elsewhere. Then Matt brought it back up later, which lead to this whole interaction throughout the rest of the vod. Im not villanizing Matt here. Im just observing the cause and effect of what happened. If I was Matt. I would've talked to shofu, about it privately, and probably would've deleted the vod. But because it was made into this huge thing, it became a spectacle enough for people to save it, and let's say upload it to youtube. No one clipping a clip of CTC saying the word gay. But people will clip CTC, not understanding cancel culture, and making hella funny jokes because of it TL;DR Matt's intentions were good, and I wont fault him for it. But he brought up a situation that was over, and made it bigger than it needed to be. Couldve been handled privately.

Just throwing that part out there. Personally I think it's dumb that people have to be so censored because other people will feel angry, for no real reason at all lol.

The joke is literally how "gay" could be used as a homophobic insult while he's using it to say "men being feminine". It could be interpreted in many ways, but it was clearly not ill intended. As long as media literacy exists, it shouldn't be that bad.
