There's only four episodes so far and Shogun is already one of my favorite shows of all time. It has such beautiful lighting and amazing cinematography. I'm loving the political intrigue of the different characters having their own agendas and vying for power behind each other's backs. I really enjoyed your reactions so far and look forward to more, keep it up bro👍

You can tell that the original Author (James Clavell) of the book has plenty of British in him. Just the way Blackthorne is portrayed in this show, and the Book, is very English in his demeanor, behaviour, and how he verbally reacts. Just adds extra layers of immersion to the production. Cosmo's performance just adds an extra cherry on top.

The priest in the prison is Franciscan, whereas the other priests are Jesuits, there was a schism in the catholic church at the time between them and since because of the treaty mentioned, they imprisoned the Franciscan Monk

Historically Oda Nobunaga, who preceded The Taiko, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, was not Shogun, The Taiko was peasant born therefore could not be Shogun and became Kempachu, Tokugawa Ieyasu( Toronaga) who claimed to be Minowara was the only one to become Shogun and he and his heirs ruled as Shogun for 250 years
