My friend and I were scouring the Internet for this album on July 4th. Three days later, and this appears on RU-vid. If that isn’t just plain magic, then I don’t know what is!
Third album I have found from this band now, thanks to youtube creators. Their song style is similar to the popular band 'Player' that had their one hit wonder "Baby Come Back"". I appreciate your post, being a new subscriber.
Sadly that's pretty much it, this is the original crew's last album. Casey rankin has some other bands and song you might like, but sadly shogun was rather short lived
@@anunthinkablemess1240 Many bands came out of the era with great sound, but yes, were short lived because so many genres of music, like RAP, Country/Rock, Grunge and Alternative also exploded out of the 80's and bands sounding like Shogun, Journey, Player, Toto found it harder to be heard, since their music was more orchestral, lyrics more meaningful, and took longer to hone and write than copycats in the other four genres I mention, none of which really caught my attention, because they had no strong melodies or instrumental hooks to back up their often (expletive) loaded vocals. My daughter, now 22, heard the other four genres I mentioned, but I also gave her access to my entire music collection, which dated back to Elton John's "Yellowbrick Road", George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass", Wings and Eagles greatest hits, and early ELO and Jefferson Starship--all foundational groups, along with some Japanese counterparts, in the richness of album oriented, melodic rock as well as crossover hits from early metal bands, like Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven and the emergence of Phil Collins from the Genesis/Yes era of art/rock.
