i think what happened with the changing of stories confusion was that Ippei tried to save his own butt by saying he was loaned money from Ohtani. Clearly, that makes him look better than outright saying and admitting he stole from his account. And was maybe hoping Ohtani would be cool with that and that he wouldnt get in trouble regarding that narrative. And then Ohtani found out, was not cool with that at all along with finding out how serious the implications are for him should he fail to prove himself innocent. i dont think Ohtani wants to put Ippei in jail, but simply prove himself 100% innocent for all to see and end it there. my 2 cents! love your channel
If true, I'm genuinely surprised that Shohei wasn't lying after all. It was really shady that he didn't notice a couple million gone in betting but.. I remembered how little he looks at his own finances considering he only spends an average of $3k a month 😅
