What I am most looking forward to with Shohei Ohtani is seeing him in the post-season. The World Baseball Classic was cool. But October is on a whole different level.
I have been saying it all year that the Astros were going to wake up and get that respect back. Rangers will always be #1 in my heart, and last year made me so happy, but this year is more of the same, so not disappointed, but these Astros, man they have turned it on. Altuve is my favorite current player. They are only 3 games back from where they were last year at this time. They started slow last year as well, but were like 5 games ahead of where they were at the beginning of the week, now it is down to 3. Hell Yeah. Level Up. (Astros are my #2 team.)
I’m sooo glad I am Delulu with you Ben!!! I never lost faith. We did have to get some changes 👀 but I knew we could do it. Can’t wait for October baseball in HOUSTON TX
nice to see you back big ben. the dodgers were wise to sit out ohtani in this years hr derby given it's only been 6,7 months since he had second t.j. operation. why nobody asking a.judge to do that thing? i'm still holding to my pre-season that the l.a. dodgers will fail to make the world series, with key players now out for the season you have ohtani and freeman doing everything -bad recipe
The Astros are closing in on the Mariners now. They're winning games and the offense is getting more clutch, and they did just enough in that first Toronto game Monday. This week could get very interesting.
Astros have been getting lucky. Their LU stinks without tucker. Their pitching is an injury away from complete decimation. It’s cool for baseball that they came back but they need help if they are going to be serious this year.
Lineup stinks? Yea lineup is questionable at times but when you are hitting then there is no such thing as a lineup that stinks because they aren’t hitting like a team that stinks
Astros best bullpen since May 13th, best record in baseball since May 8th. A bunch of pitchers are coming off the DL. Always 32nd in strikeout rate. Good pitching, put the ball in play, great defense. Were we ever worried? 2.5 games out today!
i never root for the brewers being a reds fan but i'm delighted to see the cubs and their traitor manager not succeeding. i'm happy the astros are back to .500 record and above even if justin currently is sidelined!
Quantrill. He's got a flat 3 ERA on the road, last time I checked. Get him out of Coors, he'll do well. And the Stros wouldn't have to give up and arm and a leg to get him.
8:11 the cubs decided to choke earlier this year is all. They said “hey let’s just go ahead and get it out of the way so everyone can get on with their summer. No need to keep them hanging on until the end like last year.” They did the north side of the city a favor.
Ben, what do you think about the old school rules of 3 outs, it’s either a home run or an out. You have two batters 9 innings. The winner moves on to the next opponent and so on till the last ones stands to win.
I wonder if Skenes is gonna win ROTY. I'm in SD so I'm a Jackson Merrill fan for that race but I feel like its gonna be tough. Skenes has less than 10 starts and people are going crazy for him! Also, bat boy for 18 years? That's a bat man!
The Astros have too much experience and talent to just roll over. I was only worried they’d figure it out too late. Incredible how quickly they’ve changed the outlook of the season.
Orioles schedule in June was EASILY the toughest stretch for any team in baseball. No excuse for the number 1 team on the list to drop a series to the worst team in baseball (the marlins). Plus the Orioles put it to the Phillies in the middle of that grueling stretch. Guess it will take them winning a W.S. for people to recognize how good that team really is.
Phillies went from London to Boston to Baltimore with one day off, on Father’s Day weekend. Orioles should’ve beat a team that was on the road for two weeks, coming from overseas. Not to mention the Orioles had lost five straight.
@@yahcrack O's played ATL, PHI, NYY, HOU, CLE, TEX all in a row and went 10-9 in that span. Phil's played BOS, BAL, SD, AZ, DET, MIA in that same span and came out with the same record. There is no comparison in strength of schedule in terms of who has had a tougher June or any month so far for that matter.
@@jwhudson23 beating a team that had to travel across the Atlantic and back and then go from Boston to Baltimore with one day off and then proceed to lose 5 straight is not as impressive as you make it seem. Granted the stretch you listed is tough. But you singled out the Phillies as if he’s wrong to have the team with the highest winning percentage first is wrong.
@@jwhudson23 and I think the Orioles are the best team in baseball and I’m a Phillies fan but let’s not try to make it seem like the Phillies at 1 is blasphemous
@@yahcrack Strength of schedule matters. That's all. Power Rankings is someone's opinion. I was just giving mine dude. I did not say it was blasphemous. The only thing blasphemous is splitting a series with the Marlins.
Astros should go pick up Zack Greinke on a cheap deal (for pitching depth) and “correct” what happened in 2019. Maybe not note for note, but it would be fun to see what happens.
People wanted the Astros to fail so badly that they never entertained a comeback when its been done many times. Sorry to disappoint Astro haters but "We Aint Going Nooooo Wheres"!!!!
