Andrew Heaney, David Fletcher, and Shohei Ohtani are the latest set of Angels that make an appearance to visit the kids and brighten their days at this special hospital.
They are great, I am actually crying not because of this but what would have happened if we did not get in this pandemic. They were originally choosing schools choirs to sing the national anthem against the white Sox somewhere around April 22-25 dont remember exactly the day, my school was one of the choirs chosen. I was in the choir.I have always been a huge angel fan, I was so happy. Then quarantine happened and it got cancelled. You don’t know the pain it is that it got canceled.
In this video, there is a scene where Shohei Ohtani talks to Ippei, who is an interpreter, in the dialect of Western Japan. "Honmaya" means "truth". West Japan is a region that produces many comedians in Japan. Shohei Otani is from the northern region of Japan. Among young people in Japan, there is an increasing number of people who watch comedy programs and watch RU-vid on a regular basis and deliberately incorporate western Japanese dialects into their conversations. It is very interesting for Japanese people that Shohei Ohtani suddenly speaks a language that is neither a northern dialect nor a standard language.
I heard reacetly that you are, in fact, Italian, Fletch, your English is very American, and it's so difficult to notice you are Italian.Your atmosphere is also very American. It is same with Stassi who is also Italian. Please have a good game at WBC as Italian players, you both! I believe you guys are the strongest among your Italian team and they must be totally depending upon you! 'Cause you are MLB players! Miki
I think he understands English, but is shy and doesn’t feel comfortable speaking English. I mean, you can’t live in the US and play professional baseball here, and not pick up some English!!! There’s videos where he speaks, and even in this video, you can see that he understands some English, but he just isn’t comfortable speaking it. Japanese is apparently the hardest language out there to learn (for English speakers), and for Japanese people, English is one of the hardest languages to learn. So it’s understandable that he isn’t confident. I thought him playing with the little curly haired kid was cute though. Also Andrew holding the baby!!!
