Even after the elbow surgery, he plays games as if nothing happened. That strong mental has to be praised. Can't wait for June when Ohtani usually produces the most homers!

That swing is art. He loads really early, sometimes before the pitch is thrown, his front leg doesn't move forward at all, it just gives him a base with his other leg, then he doesn't swing too hard, just focuses on getting the bat head to the ball wherever the pitch is, and let's the pitch do the work.

The way he's playing right now, you just know he's going to be an absolute monster in the playoffs. Dude has tuned out so much noise and is somehow getting better as a hitter while injured. It's actually pretty amazing.

RISP is the only problem he has as a hitter, but he'll be able to overcome it eventually. The problem is the pitch. The value of 700 mill depends on whether he can pitch after next year.

Yeah, but he's been terrible with runners in scoring position. He's currently batting .184 with RISP. In 44 PA's with RISP he's struck out 7 times, grounded into 3 double plays, and only has 2 extra base hits.

If he's overrated then the entire league is overrated, they never hit over 40 HRs and won 15 games with a 2.33 ERA, so go root for your team because trolls are just embarrassing themselves now.
