Great honest reviews. Other tubers are raving over these but have not been transparent with the cons. Ill be sticking with my Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for the gym and Openrun Pro for outside.
I wounded up getting openfit because: 1) USB C charging - who needs another proprietary cable to lose/ find around the house? 2) does anyone actually use openrun pro for daily use? 3) the small charging case v the big a$$ box (not even for charging) of openrun. At the end of the day, nothing is perfect, and while I enjoy the sound quality of my in ear buds, I am equally amazed at the convenience openfit provides in daily life (like making orders at cafes without having to pluck out the earbuds/ trying to disengage ANC), as well as noticeably less ear fatigue for me at least.
I use the Openrun Pro for the entire day at the office, as well as for the walking portion of my commute. The “case” is something I don’t really use, though. I just hang them around my neck if I’m not using them, and my partner throws his Shokz into his bag without any case. He’s done so for ages with the Air he had before getting Openruns, and they held up just fine. The cable is kind of a bummer, for sure, but it’s also not terrible considering I charge them every night. The charger has a dedicated place in my home because of that.
Strange that with the discussion surrounding the "compromise", that there's no mention that some people simply don't like things in their ear canal. Looking for an alternative to ear buds in the office, so the inordinate time spend discussing the "wobblyness" was time wasted in this review.
@@TheRunTesters fair enough, but I'd still rather have the review take that excessive amount time to instead mention if there are any tones when changing settings, call quality in different settings i.e., indoors (because treadmills are a thing), vs windy outdoor settings, communication with other people, and mention that some people find in canal earbuds uncomfortable, which is a great reason to use these. I watched this simply because it was to top google result, not because it's a running based channel, I guess I'll find other channel to watch instead.
Please could you share some more information about the £60 Sivka? earphones that Mike mentioned? I have been using the Oladance over ear phones since I got them on offer at Christmas and although I really like them, they are not without their drawbacks. I can’t wear in ear buds, so these have been really great for me, but interested in finding a better version that isn’t super expensive.
Fit Prob ?? NO - i Abso LOVE MINE -- i have had zero issues with mine, and i have a big fat head and big ol ears....and they fit just fine. my wife loves hers too. and she has small ears and head. so idk wth these guys are talking about with fit issues. ---- but i DO Have Problems with the "Volume Buttons" on the earbuds. i DO NOT like them... they are made with a semi-conductive silicone material, and if your fingers are dry - it wont work. and yes, there is a little NUB of a button and yes it def could be a better button... but these headphones are great !!! unless you are listening to EMD / HEAVY BASS MUSIC... but Heavy Metal sounds great. ---- I GET +8 HRS OF LISTENING TIME - LISTENING TO MY POLICE SCANNER via bluetooth thru PC aux 3.5mm cable.
My solution: stick a cheap in-ear bud in the kerb-side ear, keep the road-side ear clear to hear traffic. Also doubles the battery life. Been doing this for years on the bike before I started running. Spend the savings on running shoes.
Used to run a single earpiece for a long time until one ear had worse hearing than the other. The one I was using was getting worse. Granted I used it for many hrs at a time.
Hi I just bought OpenFit and I am really dissapointed regarding the sound of the earphones... Especially the bass... There are lots of destortion and cracking while playing and when bass boost is on it is really horrible to listen to the music. Is it just my pair of earphones or it is a general issue?
They are ok. They don’t have as tight comfy feel as the OpenRun’s and the audio quality is about the same despite only one being bone conduction. In my case. The right earpiece has difficulty connected to my phone.
When you’re running in these do you get a windy sound at all since they partially cover your ear? That’s been my main problem with others like the Beats true wireless earbuds.
During the pandemic, a major pain was when I was in the gym wearing glasses and a mask and trying to wear an over-the-ear headset. The ear was overloaded. I wear glasses or sunglasses when I run and in the gym and so I don't go for OTE. I noticed that you did run with sunglasses on and would have been interested in how that felt. I use the Beats Fit Pro but have my eye on the Jaybirds Vista 2.
I have astigmatism and have to wear glasses, I have the shokz titanium and it goes over the ear just like their open fit and I don’t notice they’re there. They kind of fit over the glasses frame. Very comfortable and I forget I have them on and have jumped in the shower many times with them on bc I forget to take them off, yet I can remember to take my glasses off.
worst review EVER , sounds like you don't want anyone to buy them , if I saw this I would never get them , I have watch a lot on them and nooo one so negative as this one
@@MichaelEKaz well anyone say anything bad about them or TOTALLY WRONG I am a runner .the fit good never drop out super sound great bass for open ears . Light weight.can wear for hours ...not saying can't say negative .but this review could put people off from buying them .and that's why not the best review at all .....my opinion that's all
@@michaelanthonytollanI actually look for negative points to make a correct purchase decision. I already knew that it is comfy, fits well and sounds okayish. But I was curious about possible negative aspects to make sure I don't jump the gun. Overall I will buy this product.
