At first, I was kind of upset that this wasn't the original voice for this song, but now that I know what it means I can't help but feel touched. An old man singing about the strength of passion and youth... how heart-warming.
Shout out to this cover of the song for being the only full version available on youtube for years. Helped keep us satisfied until the original was finally allowed on youtube!
let me tell you, that old man have some balls. he just ejércite in the subway, run on street, go to a boat on full speed, beat the hell out some ogres and make them work for him. that old man is more bad ass then chuck norris.
His name is MomoTaro or "Peach Boy" He is from an old Japanese legend about a boy born from a peach who goes on to befriend a few animals and defeat demons on "Oni Island". In the sequel to Ouendan, the story is about what he is like now (an old man) and how he regains his youth (sort of) by returning to oni island once again. But this time instead of killing the demons he makes a deal with them, and turns "Oni Island" into an amusement park.
It's Momotaro, a kid from a japanese fairy tale that teamed up with a bird, a monkey and a dog to defeat a band of oni (Ogres) that attacked his village. In Ouendan 2, decades later, he's called to battle the oni again.
@20Set08 It´s Momotaru but old, the government will not pay his retirement because he haven´t done anything heroic and his job is "be a hero" so he goes to the demon island (again) to beat the demons in order to get back his retirement fee but in the end he make a theme park with the demons (if you doné know who is Momotaru go check wikipedia)
The level is based on an old Japanese folktale about a boy named Momotarou, born from a peach floating down from a stream, who defeats a bunch of ogres attacking his village. His pension gets stolen by the ogres, so he has to go back to defeat them again, and convinces them to develop their island into "Ogre Land." I'm not making this up.
The song's burned into my brain now. I love this song, but couldn't clear the level, so I grinded that level again and again... Now my hand remembers it completely. :P Although I still can't go for S-rank in the magnificence cheering"(the girls) difficulty. I prefer Kai's "OSU!" for this song that the girls' "GO!".
I think some of the other songs use the original, but I'd understand changing it with this, because the story is from the point of view of an old man in the game.
Is LeetendoTV supposed to be Bruce Lee's version of Nintendo? Just asking. I'm not dissin' so don't be-a pissin'! That sucked right there. Nice video by-the-way!
