I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great ru-vid.comUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.

It's nice to see someone give Worx brand real world reviews alongside other more well known brands. I don't rate Worx tools as a "jobsite" tool But definitely it's at the top of the D.I.Y level. I look forward to reviewing this tool in the near future. Thanks and great review!

Well said! I would mostly agree. The first Worx tools we tried, years ago, were at a much lower level than where they're at now. This nailer is a great tool for the weekend warrior...even and entry level finisher/cabinetry. Thanks for watching.

I have a few Worx tools that I use for stuff around the house, all have been fine for that but my brushless drill driver (WX737) compares as well as any of the Makita or Bosch tools that I use daily as a carpenter

I'm a contractor doing HVAC and plumbing. I got tired of Milwaukee batteries and the cost of all the tools along with battery replacement cost. I still supply and buy Milwaukee corded tools but all our cordless power tools are Worx or Worx nitro we still have a few old Waukees kickin still. But the Worx...They work really well the batteries are very durable and I'm happy with that. The batteries outlast the tools. Tools are affordable and still make me the same amount of money Milwaukee did. Thanks WORX

Worx Brand tools here in New Zealand use to be sold as a big box store (Mitre10 Mega) brand I have a few of their powered sanders (and have been work horses, been flogged and still going strong, though again I am slowly switching over to AEG) I never got into their battery range of tools as I was already AEG 18v ... You hardly see the Worx tools now Mitre10 Mega no longer sells them and not even sure where to get them from in NZ any more... lol

I wonder if Worx will come up with a framing nail gun. I have the Worx Brad nail/staple gun. It would be good to get a framing or combination nail gun from Worx using the same batteries.

Can the WX840 shoot brads/staples well at 45 deg. angle or less? I'm going to be putting in some posts in a slanted section of handrail. Also are the nails and brads a universal size and fit so I don't have to special order them anywhere (Worx) ?

I have this nail gun. It drives the longer brads fine with no jams. However, driving the shorter brads, jams more often than not. Any idea why that is?
@markb8954
@markb8954 Год назад
Make sure you are putting the brads in correctly, far left & down. Then slide the cover over top. I had the same issues until i realized that I wasnt putting the 1/4 inch brads far left & down tight.
@Therealphantomzero

I mean one has to consider the type of mail and the material that they're shooting in to see if it's worth shooting the hole length of the nail like even high-end guns with full depth nails may not go all the way in if you're nailing something extreme hard because they're again one they're wired so and I have multiple different types of guns hardwood you don't have to go so deep in order to get the fasting that you need so it's not a downside really it's within its capacity and in compares very well when I can see

Good video - but the inevitable was skipped - how to clear a jam. Very important to know before investing the money. You said 2 allen head screws needs to be removed to expose under the nose, but seeing a demonstration is much better than being told what to do. Can you upload a video showing the process of clearing jams? My concern is that I hear it's tedious and time consuming. Thanks !
@DavidE-zp5jr
@DavidE-zp5jr 2 года назад
Definitely. Taking the head (4 screws) off each time is a pain. Not great instructions from the company either. I like Worx, but have never had problems with their tools like I have with this one.

Just received another nail gun and it absolutely will not shot 3/4" brads without jams. . . .lots of jams. The longer brads appear to shot fine, much like your demonstration. I suspect that is the reason they do not include the shorter 3/4" brads with the gun. Just sayin'. Would like your thoughts on this comment. Thank you.

“Proud”?
@ohgary
@ohgary 3 года назад
It’s a somewhat old fashioned term, means the fastener sticks up a bit. When I was a kid the old people would talk about “proud flesh” meaning a swelling if you got hit in the mouth, for example. I never hear it used any more except by woodworkers on Tv
