🙏🏽 Blessed to be married 25 yrs. It takes WORK. Honesty, sense of humor, communication & forgiveness. That's what has worked for us. Yes, we had some hardships & I even put my husband out once. There were a couple of "emotional affairs" early on, when we should have been talking to 1 another. If you DECIDE to work on your marriage, you HAVE GOT to really & truly forsake all others. Please hear me when I say, CUT OUT all those people & all those things that don't advance & glorify your marriage according to God our Father in heaven. Selfishness & pride/ego must be set aside or you won't endure.

Every person will not occupy your life the same way in every season...I'm a witness!! What you get when dating will often be what you experience in marriage!!!

LOVE & BASKETBALL - SHOOT YOUR SHOT - Part 1 Genesis 2:24 Relationship choices are not just relationship choices. Relationship choices are LIFE choices. Relationship choices not only impact our relationships but they effect our very LIVES. Who you choose to say 'I do' too is one of the most consequential decisions of your life. #TRUTH I'ts extremely difficult to get LIFE RIGHT and get RELATIONSHIPS wrong. It's three ways you can live your life: SINKING, SURVIVING or THRIVING. What level we live on depends on who you LIVE with. A relationship can be like a weight that drops you to the bottom of the ocean (SINK) or like a float that can bring us to the top of the ocean (SURVIVING/THRIVING). If you want to WIN at LIFE you have to WIN at RELATIONSHIPS. GOOD NEWS: It doesn't have to be this way. We can let the CULTURE or KINGDOM lead us. Just because it's normal and done that way doesn't mean it's the KING'S WAY. Just because I'm the KING's child, doesn't mean I do relationships the KING's WAY. It's a difference in receiving the PERSON of JESUS (helps me to die to this flesh) vs walking in the PRINCIPLES OF JESUS (living according to His word). Love Is Like Basketball - especially Singles - you want to learn these principles NOW: TEAMWORK - just because people are together doesn't mean they're FUNCTIONING as a team OFFENSE - their somethings you have to intentionally GO AFTER DEFENSE - their some things you have to intentionally KEEP OUT STAMINA - spiritual, emotional, physical; if you're not in shape, you'll quit GRIT/RESILIENCE - it has to be something you're willing to fight for COACH - need someone who willing to help guide/develop you GAME PLAN - if you're going to WIN, you must be willing to SHOOT YOUR SHOT Reference Genesis 2:24 - it reveals God's vision for relationships; marriage; a vision of ONENESS; it's two WHOLES coming together, you have to be whole; it's 1 x1 = 1; it's multiplication; not two broken people trying to make a WHOLE RELATIONSHIP. GOD'S VISION IS ONENESS - it's a picture in the OT/NT with His people; Genesis 2/Ephesians 5; God uses marriage as a picture with His people; we are the BRIDE and he's the GROOM. It's possible for MARRIAGES not to experience pleasure because they don't care about GOD'S PURPOSE for it!!! We make our pleasure the priority and not God's purpose for marriage. When pleasure is made a priority, we are willing to forfeit God's principles that are established by God to carry out His purpose. God has a purpose for everything. When we pursue his purpose you will have a pleasurable life. God doesn't want to just build relationships to make us happy. That's a byproduct but he has a bigger purpose for our relationships. Inspire others to COME THROUGH!!! TEACH Pastor D. You miss 100% of your shots when you don't SHOOT YOUR SHOT - intentional and sustained investiment made in a relationship. The state and the status of the relationship is simply the return on your investment. We can't stop shooting our shots. The energy, excitement, enthusiasm, and effort stopped. Nothing can be improved when we are not able to put forth the effort. INTRODUCTION (meet/attentive; putting their best foot forward), INFATUATION (stirring of emotions-shoot your shots), REVELATION (feelings for the interpretation of who they are or the presentation of who their not), FAMILIARITY (breeds contentment that decreases the investment; relationship move to a state of mediocrity). If we're going to WIN - it takes more than physcial attraction; marriage vs guilt free sex, a partner to pay bills, etc. PREACH!!! WHAT HAPPEN TO PEOPLE DECREASING THEIR ABILITY TO SHOOT THEIR SHOT (being comfortable vs getting complacent)? Examples: "Things are not like they use to be." - Pause. True. Are you doing what you use to do? Do they have work ethic? I'm talking about working on the relationship inside the house. When the Bible say, "Wives respect your husband." - I wired him to respond to honor. When the Bible say, "Husbands, honor your wife." - Instead of honor, most start tolerating; honor so God can hear your prayers. ROI - sowing and reaping (biblical meaning) When I say SHOOT YOUR SHOT it's the same as SOWING AND REAPING SOME OBSTACLES WHY PEOPLE DON'T SHOOT THEIR SHOT 1) FEAR *Fear of IMAGE: fear the evolution of the best of me will cause tension; everyone should accept each other changing; you're not loosing yourself - you're becoming better; God uses relationship to help develop you. *Fear of INEQUITY: do not want to exert more effort than the other person; making the relationship more contractual than sacrificial *Fear of INJURY: limit efforts because of emotional/relationship trauma in the past; very cautious in the future because they don't want to be hurt 2) FRAGMENTATION Unaddressed brokenness and not emotional whole; unable to see their effort as valuable; victim mentality; quick to quit 3) FRUSTRATION You've been shooting (putting forth the effort) and not getting results. Is something wrong with my SEED or this SOIL? They look good to me but are the good for me? 4) FRIENDS Some people good for you single are not good for you married. "LEAVE father and mother..." If marriage isn't your relational priority 5) FATIGUE I'm just TIRED! Sick and tired of being sick and tired. Your relationship with God requires effort. Effort is about faith. We must exercise faith in our relationships. Some of us SINGLES are not ready for the work yet. God is NOT blocking your fulfillment. He's protecting you from the heartache. You need the spiritual stamina to maintain the marriage because what you get when you're DATING is most likely what you'll get when you're MARRIED. Don't settle for MEDIOCRITY!!! PRAYER Turn relationships from BURNDENSOME to BLISSFUL #EndofNotes

Last Night I saved this Video to watch this Morning. So I woke up and read a Plan that’s in my Bible App called “How to Forgive when the Wound is still Open?” the Scripture and Devotional came from Matt 22:37-39 “Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” After I read it I started to watch this and When I Say this was God Speaking Directly to Me Through You - My God‼️ Pastor Daniels I just want to Thank You for Allowing God to Use You, without you Obedience I may not have received this msg, and I’m so Grateful that God planted this Seed in to your Heart so that I could reap the Harvest of His Word... I Cant Wait for Pt. 2

Two WHOLE people make a relationship! Your pleasure is tied to Gods purpose . We must be willing to put forth the effort and we will see a return on our investment. Don’t let these things get in the way : Fear of image , Fear of inequity , Fear of injury, Frustration, Friends and Fatigue. There are too many nuggets to write. Actually this message falls in line with fundamental mathematical principles.. To start, I think most people can agree that marriage multiplies. Well, when you multiply fractions the result is smaller than not only the sum of both fractions, but also the value of the fractions themselves. And if you continue to multiply fractions the results become increasingly smaller. For example 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.25. A half multiplied by a half is one quarter. More examples: 0.25 * 0.25 = 0.125 0.5 * 0.25 = 0.125 Even 0.5 * 0.99 = 0.495. Here 0.99 is nearly a whole. Yet, multiplied by one-half the result is still less than even the one half. Demonstrating that the result of multiplied fractions is always less than even the largest fraction amount in the multiplied equation. Please like if this makes sense.
