Any new midrange or flagship bow will out shoot 90% of all hunters. Getting a new bow every year won't make you better. Practicing almost daily with the equipment you have will make you better. I have an Elite Ritual 33 from 2019 and its still great.
I don’t know. I have 7 different bows a can each and every one of them. Even if I haven’t shot one in awhile I can still finish in the top five. Some people are a little more dedicated than others. The versatility great to have.
Just bought a new bow there a few weeks ago. First new bow in 15ish years. Couldnt be happier with the guys there, they have set me up and tuned me up for a decade. Finally setting up and tuning a NEW bow for me. I feel grateful to have Sunrise as my bow shop.
Just picked up my lift 33 (earth fade to black) a couple weeks ago. My local shop shut down so I was on the hunt for a great shop and boy did I find one! Derek is a great person and bowtech! He took care of me and made sure all my questions were answered. Great video and good luck choosing 😬😬
It’s tough to find a bad bow in this era of archery. Great time to be a bowhunter. Shot a lot of them this winter, and though there are things I like more about some and less about others, they are all going to punch tags! Ended up with Lift 33 and an Ethos. Both drawing 29”/70lbs and getting about 83% letoff on them. Lift is shooting 294 across the chrono and the Ethos 290 with a 445 grain arrows. Very pleased with them! Ethos was a challenge with some clearance issues on the cables and cams but got it tuned with clearance without having to shim the cams, which is a nightmare on an Elite.
the best bow is the best bow that suits you there for there is no such thing as the best bow arrows broadheads etc etc and your opinion is just your opinion like the rest of us
Wow great vid. This reminds me of a wine tasting event. So many good options. So many subtle differences. How could you ever choose just one? I’m still shooting my 32 year old Proline Cyclone. I just bought a new bow online. It would have been so much fun to go into a bow shop and shoot everything, but they all would have been blowing my mind.
Great comparisons! One thing I've wished for quite a while is inclusion of some of the not so main stream brands such as bows from Martin, Obsession, Oneida (and more). I realize finding dealers is more challenging but it would be great to see those go toe to toe with the brands we always see.
Mostly everyone the past years!!!! I tend to shoot better with a heavier bow. Proceeds to buy a Matthews because it’s lighter, and puts tons of weight🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But then also the people that buy them “yeah bro but I can now put the weight exactly where I want to”, with front and back bar. I used to be one of those guys🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I feel hands-down, one of the best archery shops in Michigan. I live roughly an hour away, and make sure to stop in at least 2 to 3 times year. I appreciate that they are not biased to one brand only. keep up the good gentlemen see you soon.
Loving my Persist. For me its exactly what I wanted, comfortable to shoot and still has good speed. The extra features are nice and totally love that string stop, silent bow.
Been out of archery since 2012 and based in the U.K. (so no option to test on this scale). Lovely video and invaluable for research. Been tempted to get back into the “sport” (I just want to zone out and shoot some arrows) and my last compound was the Hoyt Carbon Element.
Good evening this was a great video and with lots new I'm a Mathews guy and enjoy hunting with it I bought a no cam Mathews a few years ago and very intrigued with the new bows Living in Namibia Africa with all the different species Thanx again and will keep an eye out for these bows to arrive here
Love the Alpha X 33. As an archery tech that loves working on his own bows at home the new axel system makes tuning much easier now that they no longer use E clips to retain the axels. Draw is silky smooth and the bow is very dead in the hand at the shot. As much as I loved the light weight of the Lift 33 the Alpha X 33 just seemed to settle and hold on-target faster and better for me. I might pick up a Lift 33 as well and see how well it holds once I’ve set it up with all of the accessories. Can’t really go wrong with either of these two bows and I’m kinda greed when it comes to adding to the collection lol. Both of my sons shoot the exact same draw length and weight that I shoot so we enjoy trading bows for the day when we hit the walk through ranges in our area.
Great bow shop! Made the switch when our old shop owner passed spot shooters in Holly, Mi and glad to follow one of their techs to Sunrise! #SupportYourLocalArcheryDealer #ShootWithYourLocalArcheryDealer
Now I always used to be a Matthews guys but went away from them for a while. Shot Bowtech but one of my first ones was the Reign 6 was fast and smooth but i could never get that bow to tune right at all!! I loved my Elite Spirit should never have sold it. Also i like my Valor. But they were always sloooooowwwww! Same with Bear very nice smooth bows but very slow. Have a legit now it has been a good bow overall!! I have had Expedition and Obsession the expedition was the fastest bow i have ever had!! The Obsession was the worst pulling bow and heavy 1:01:04 other than the Hoyt! I started with a Darton as a kid and now am considering getting a Sequel but Dartons have always been heavy. Now I had an Athens Accomplice and it was one of the best shooting bows and smooth. I then went back to them last year i liked the bow but it was not as smooth as my Accomplice.
Of course the two best shooting bows this year didn’t make the list because people are so brainwashed on the big 2… Hoyt and Mathews. Shocker shocker! Darton and Athens by far had the best drawing and shooting bows this year and are very underrated. Unfortunately these big names are all people can talk about. Go ahead and keep spending 2k on a made in CHINA Hoyt.
I really appreciate that bow review on all the new bows for this year I'm looking to get a new bow for the upcoming hunting season. I really learned alot about the new bows. I'm new to bow hunting, now bow hunting is all I want to do. I got the 2018 bowtech realm. That bow is amazing, it also has the dead lock system on.
I have shot all these brands of bows and 3 other brands as well. I hate hoyt and will never go back! I learned my lesson by listening to their rep. They basically lied to me and then when i got my bow. I tore my Labrum shooting it!!
I bet you wouldn't be saying this if it were you millions invested into a patented design that someone copied. That's what patents are for, to protect their ideas. Smh
Yesh...im sure Athens didnt hire a patent attorney...smfh Its already been found out they didnt violate the patent but they didnt have the money to fight those asshats at Bowtech@nxtpymtoffroad
