The couch arrived in two boxes four days early, which was great because we'd just moved into a new house and needed places to sit. My son and I put it together pretty quickly ru-vid.comUgkxitRzxya-XugamYgLwa_2G1gxPg4MCJHa . Another reviewer suggested inserting the seat into the side and I'm glad they did as the instructions weren't clear on that matter. It's incredibly light and slides easily across the wood floor, making it easy to move. It's firm, but comfortable. It will even be great to nap on. I got the gray, which definitely has strong blue undertones, but I'm okay with that.
Fawkes4387 I am the bone of my sword Steel is my body and fire is my blood I have created over a thousand blades Unknown to death Nor known to life Have withstood pain to create many weapons Yet those hands will never hold anything So, as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works!!!!!
I used to do archery many years ago with a compound bow. Had a Martin Saber at the time. You should get a peep sight installed on your bow string. It ensures you are focusing on your fiber optic sights correctly.
+Skallagrim glad you got rid of it, that thing was nowhere near the correct draw length for you. your left arm needs to be fully extended when you fire the arrow the bow should fall forward not down like it was on you that's why you were pulling right on your shots.
***** me and my cousin have been huntin the better part of 20 years and never heard that a locked elbo will hurt anything. nope a stabalizer like you see in compatition will really make it drop forward but the way you hold it is with the top of the hand like pinching it so when you let go of the string the bow is going to want to fall and pivot. i have no idea about historical stuff.
That's the exact same bow I use!! I was like, "Man, that looks like my bow!" Checked the description.....yep. I love it personally. Quiet, compact, very decent price. Great bow in my opinion!
I had the same problem and turned out to be the rest. I was switching back and forth between regular diameter shafts and narrows without adjusting for them. You may want to back off the uppers a bit and see if that doesn't solve your problem. Also, I switched to an Octane Hostage Pro with the brushes instead of the felt tips and haven't lost a single vane since. VERY HIGHLY recommend them.
I've watched your channel for a few months now and came across this video by accident. I didn't know you were an archer. Do you own a crossbow by any chance?
I used to work at Wholesale Sports for 3 years and Cabelas for 4 years as the archery manager, Outfitter and bow technician/warrantty repair man and Excalibur Crossbow is the best modern made crossbow you can buy. Classic replicas are great too.
Outstanding! You're the first person I've seen other than myself to have one of those "Peep Eliminator" rear sights installed. They're a bitch to set up but once that's done it's a _GREAT_ accessory.
Lighted nocks are also useful for tuning the bow so that the arrows come out as straight as possible. If you look at the light path, the arrow looks like it is oscillating in flight quite a bit. If you strip the vanes completely off of one of those arrows and shoot it at short range, it will exaggerate misadjustments to the rest or nock point, and you can then adjust to compensate. If the tuning is perfect, the light path should be pretty straight.
lol all these kids who never seen a compound bow make me laugh. calling it futuristic and laser guided lol. the draw length seems too short for you dude. if you're hitting tight groups consistently then cool, but in the confusion of a hunt, it may be hard to get the same sight picture. fully extending your arm allows you to have the same set up every time. for the goof that made the comment about stealth but having glowing arrows, the stealth is still there. the lighted knock allows you to either find the game you shot, if the arrow is still in it, or to find the point of impact so you can pick up a blood trail and find the animal.
Plus I don't think animals would react to a light very much. Wild animals don't seem to react to lights nearly as much as they react to sound and movement. I don't think they have evolved to associate strange lights with a threat.
Depends on the color of the light and the animal, I know elk can't see red or rather the shade of red. Why backpack hunters that elk hunt use red lenses before daylight on the flashlights etc.
I think it's cara's bow . She's smaller than skall . The scythian bow is also hers. Some of the swords are hers too. Good thing she loves skall . Lots of stuff on hand to end him If he messes up . Cheers
@@darickschott3171 that's generally the consensus of the best archers and bowhunters in the world. I certainly am not about to tell John Dudley and Cameron Hanes that they're doing it wrong.
the arrow rest used is probably ahostage arrow rest or whisker biscut in which case the glue could be slowly picked away from under neath the ffletching and you have a wrap on the arrows which isnt condusive to good adhesion whith any glue because of the coating that is on the wrap remember they are gust big stickers
I would recommend not using arrow wraps. I have been refletching my own arrows for a while and after using some SOS pad and alcohol, the GREEN cap gorilla glue works great. It appeared that your left hand was relaxed so I don't see how you can change that much but I would keep your left eye open. Blur the pins and your groups will tighten. As far as the string being close to your face... It should be. The kisser button being in the corner of your mouth, leaves the string running right across the tip of your nose. This is just how it is supposed to be. If it isn't like that, the bow isn't setup properly for you. I am pretty sure you were doing that part right so ignore the folks saying your going to tear up your face with the string. It just simply won't happen.
Tom Muse I agree. Anchor point looks good, keep your left elbow slightly bent and don't lock your arm up. Grip relaxed and keep both eyes open, maybe try a different peep that is adjustable for different diameters to see what works best for your bowsight and your eyes in low light. Check your arrow spine chart for your draw weight and draw length and use a heavier tip for better F.O.C "Front over center " and get the best out of your set up. Everything looks OK have fun.
Hey, Skallagrim! Do you have a video explaining how compounds work (and maybe the history of bows, comparing bows etc.)? If not, I'd love to see one :)
I've found that the Hostage XL is a bitch on vanes aswell.. Nice to see that you don't shy away form modern technologies! (I see that a lot) Straight shooting! Rik
Something that might help your grouping would be to hold your left hand more loose. Another is when you release your shot let your right hand come back. Nice vid!
The problem was not the fletching glue. It was the paint on the carbon arrow shaft that was separating off of the shaft. The glue was bonded perfectly to the paint.
Hey man great vid, see how your arrows are going to the right, maby it might be because of the light on your sights because it's dark but I think your going right because if you watch your slow motion video your torquing your left hand as the bow goes off, I'm not trolling just thought you might not of noticed it. Happy shooting
Starflight FOBs bro. Thsy don't come unglued and all you have to do after your vanes come off is clean up the arrow, pop off the nock, and pop on a FOB. They shoot better in the wind and make your arrows fly straigter with heavy broadheads. I shoot a PSE Stinger.
Skall in about 1:00 looks, like You lean your tosro to the right (in direction of string hand). I was told it is an error. Posture should be straight or slightly leaning in bow direction. Maybe this bow is little too stiff for you...
I've ever really been a fan of the compound bow, i believe it takes too much skill out of the sport. if you're using a bow for hunting or any other practical purpose rather than trying to score points, then its great. but a good old fashioned long bow or composite bow would always take my vote.
Jim Carrey this arrow rest looks like an octave hostange I have one works great just remember when using it the single color fletch or odd fether goes up otherwise you'll have the same problem Skallagrim did.
It's your arrow rest that is loosening the fletching. I had the same type of rest and they are no good. Invest into a fall away or whisker biscuit and you will be able to keep more of those blazers (which are good fletch) js
Those lighted nocks are pretty cool. What arrow were you using so I know not to buy those ones haha. I'm looking to buy that bow set up you have, how are you finding it?
I fee the same way about compound bows as you do. I honestly prefer yumis and composite long bows. I also kinda like the mongol bow too. anywho about how fast do the arrows go when you loose them?
Have you tried the ArmorTechs Axcel sights yet? I know they all do the same job. Mine has 7 pins and have it adjusted all the way out to 80yds. I bought a PSE BruteX that came with a Trophy Ridge 3 pin sight that did great, but I shoot at 10, 20, 40, 60 and 80yds. The 7pin negated having to adjust my longer shots.
Looks like the shafts had white paint on them? I never have that problem with a whisker biscuit which should be the most damaging rest to flights. In any case I'd never buy arrows from them again.
Umm, this is a compound bow. Most compound bows have that "big goofy sight." Also, the fletchings don't ever touch the sight. Therefore, it would be impossible for the sight to knock off the fletching.
are you using a rest that involves the rooster feather to be a certain way? I have noticed that when I do not put it on my bow a certain way the harder hair rips the weaker feathers off.
Maybe try to switch from your octane whisker biscuit rest to a drop test and you probably won’t lose as many fletching. The fletch is zooming thru the whisker biscuit at a super fast speed!
fine and dandy if your shooting paper. if your goal is to make a clean, quick kill that is as humane as possible i would take a compound bow any day of the week. most hunters don't spend enough time with their bows preparing and a longbow or recurve demands it. a compound takes some of the guesswork out of the shot and shoots consistent groups.
