Great to see you try out Gold in medium format. I'm one of those old guys that shot Gold as a little kid in 110 format ($3 for the roll and it included processing and prints), so Gold has a special place for me and I'm happy to finally have it in medium format. As nice as Portra is, I totally love the nostalgia of the good old days of Gold. Even though Kodak as updated the emulsion a number of times over the years, they haven't changed the color palette from back then. Love it.
These are really good photos you're taking. A lot of people forget when building a portfolio to take photos of full body and waste up. These are important to take as they can get you work when working with clothing companies. I've seen so many local models taking weird photos and some of those are ok if you want to take those for fun but those photos are not going to get you work.

I don't what you were smoking that day but I think your photos looked great the color was fantastic. I think Gold wins, now if you didn't like it because the b&w conversion was harder to make then that might be a good reason to keep using Portra 400. Cora as always is stunning and makes it look easy (it isn't). Looking forward to the next one.
Shoot kodak gold in cloudy weather when its white out. In cloudy weather you can shoot it at iso 100 or iso 50. When the sun is yellow and out I am not a fan of how kodak gold looks. I think kodak gold is the perfect cloudy weather film for me.
The way you sealed that first roll was if it tasted like Pineapples 😫🤣.. Good work.. Really enjoyed 2nd half.. A doe concept from Mike G would be some tatted Latino's and their hydraulic vehicles.. 👌🏾
Just to let you know Portrait ISO 160 some photographers will rate it at ISO 125, 100 and even ISO 80. Most people will say its really not a ISO 160 film.
This video is so good! It's nice to have another MF film stock at a reasonable price. I've shot it with a couple of cameras and the results are good. I really think Gold 200 is better suited to 35mm though - seems to stand out more.
