The TYP 240 is simply a beautiful camera. It is the closest digital camera in feel to my M2, M3 or M6. The sensor is not as clean as the latest models @ iso800 and above but this gives the photos a sort of film look. Good photography, BTW.
I completely agree with you. its a joy to use. Above iso 1000 the images show some nasty digital noise patterns but apart from that the colors that this camera produces are amazing. Happy to hear you like my photos!
Hey Silver Rays your Images look beautiful. Nice colors from your Leica M240 👍 When you said you just bought a new Film Camera I already thought hopefully everything works out but as always that would have been too good to be true. But also shouldn‘t have happened from a Film Camera Shop owner… 😪
Thank you! yeah im so in love with this camera since i bought it. True. First i was very upset that the camera didnt work well. But to be fair, the shop owner was super nice and supportive. we stayed in contact and after i fixed the camera he sent me 5 rolls of film , similar to the Film that got destroyed as an apology, which was super nice!
Hello, your photos taken with the M240 are magnificent. (I have an M240). How do you get this color (especially 4'19''). Do you have a special setting? THANKS.
Thank you so much! Awesome that you also own a M240 regarding the colors: Yes i change depending on the lighting. If the scene is very contrast heavy or if i shoot directly against a light source, i underexpose my images by 1 to 1,5 stops if the scene is more evenly lit, i overexpose roughly 0,5 to 1 stops. in my experience, this supports the color reproduction of this sensor as it has not the greatest dynamic range. And in my experience, the colors feel more natural when slightly underexposed I hope that helped you. if you have further questions, im happy to help.
Also i should mention, that my primary lens is the Voigtlander nokton 35mm Classic. its a single coatet lens that renders colors and flares in a more vintage way, especially highlights have very soft colors and gradients. these effects come more from the lens than the camera.
@@silver_rays Hello, taking into account your answers I will apply them on my M240 with my 35 mm Voightlander Ultron VM, f/2. Thank you for the speed of your responses. Good photos! Alan
Do you shoot jpeg or DNG/raw? I noticed with some RU-vidrs m240 looks like it lack punchiness and contrast... but yours and another RU-vidrs output looks punchy and amazing. He said he only shoots jpeg and adjusts exposure. I was wondering if this is the case for you. Also, have you had a chance to compare the m240 with other leicas?
i only shoot DNG raw. i havent had a chance to comapre the M to other leicas but in 2 days i will be at a SL3 Event where i can test this new model. if allowed i will be making a video about that.
