Shooting the Mini Tactical Crossbow for the First Time - LAH Mini 4S with Laser Sight

Let's take a look at the LAH Mini 4S Tactical Composite Crossbow in action. In this video I shoot it for the first time and test its power and accuracy along with the different types of ammunition that came with it.
This Crossbow is a very well made toy, and I believe it can provide lots of fun....or havoc! HAHAAA
Let me know if you would like to see me test it shooting anything else, I'm thinking some fruit maybe. I'm also thinking of some improved darts.

Lil tip, pull the tip off with pliers and fill the bolt with the metal bbs, increases the weight of the bolt a little bit so it can actually shoot through a milk bottle

I think the darts are too heavy for this crossbow, mine shoots .177 BBs through two to three layers of cardboard while the dart can't even make it through one. The laser is surprisingly accurate though, I really enjoy shooting pop cans from across the yard 40 feet away, if the laser is on it the BB hits it. I wish it came with replacement cables though, I've shot mine so many times the cable is starting to fray. Guess I'll have to get a swaging set and make my own. I've been thinking of adding an extra leaf to increase power and make a little cocking hook tool to speed it up. An automatic BB feeding mechanism would be friggin awesome too...

SORRY to manufacturer to be critical but POOR DESIGN: Laser sight needs to sit further back, toward shooter; where the bow string is flexed at furthest back point is right where the channel for the mini bolt and/or metal bb ball should rest; String should NOT be flying forward "empty" some distance, be striking the back of say the bolt, then carrying the bolt forward. Also, on the first shot, I saw the bolt kind of fly and turn sideways and flop against the box, doesn't fly on a straight path it seems. Will try slo-mo! Thanks for listening. Thanks for sharing!!

EDIT: Yes, at 0.25x Speed the bolt strikes the box sideways. I guess on a full size crossbow, maybe the channel sort of spins the bolt through the air to keep it flying like a bow and arrow arrow?

Thats cool. I crafted a blowgun with a cardboard tube from a roll of wallaper, a sharpened nail and some old cloth. Mine shoots literally 100xstronger than that. You shoot a wooden board with mine at full force and you wont be able to remove the nail without using pliers or leather gloves. Yours is super cool though. Awesome gadget for indoor shooting.

To be honest, at first, I was thinking, “Damn! I just ordered my first crossbow pistol for a locale where firearm licenses are hard to come by yesterday and, now, I see this, which is really more my speed. But, understand I’m buying this to protect myself and my preps during the Coronavirus pandemic. This looks like nothing, in terms of FPS. This looks like something you shoot your flatscreen out with, when it’s already not working and your pissed. Not for self defense. Cute and slick though.

You could pop someone's eye out with it (especially if your laser is accurate like mine is, hits pop cans at 40 feet with .177 BBs lol) but that's about it 😆 The darts really suck though, I shot those a couple times and got tired of them quick, BBs are so much better.

Yeah the lasersight is spot on at a foot and a half away shoot something like 8 to 10 feet away let those little darts get some momentum before striking a target

They should have put a magnet near where the tip of the dart sits while loaded so it could hold the dart in place as it is in transit.

I have found the XHunter crossbow on Whish.com. Not in stock. 95€ shipped. Thats 2.5 times the price of the Lah mini 4s which I have got for 41€ shipped. These mini crossbows seem a bit overpriced to me. To explain, I have got a Horizone Redback for 39€ shipped. Of course 3 times the size. But 80lbs and around 235fps. Shooting indoor is possible with the right target. It isnt a toy, the Redback could kill!

Maybe you could devise a more slender top half of the dart. It may penetrate the box. It stops motion after it first hits the box. Just a thought.

I would play like little soldier guys all set up and this is incoming fire. Then after I eat, I could use those SAME handy little arrows to pick my teeth clean. A nice toothpick. I DO SEE some potential for win win here, IMHO.

80 yard gong? I could do some distance tests. It doesn't shoot that far I don't think but these arrows are light. I need to make some heavier ones and try it. I do predict some fruit damage in the near future. Thanks for watching.

Actually I have one and it shoots 10 meters accurately with the laser. The power is enough to pierce an un opened pop can. This thing can kill small game pretty easily.

You could probably kill a small bird or mouse with it but nothing bigger than that I think. But yes, the laser is surprisingly accurate, mine hits pop cans at 40 feet with BBs and for its size really does pack a punch, getting shot with one hurts a lot more than you would think lol.

Looks like fun on a wet day and you really need to do something 'kind of manly', well it is 'kind of', manly - you know. I think if the targets were to be printed on onion skin the bolts just might penetrate - a little.

Let me know what you come up with for improved darts and how it does (whether or not it has enough power to go for something better than fruit lol). I actually watched your 1st vid after i posted my question 😁 so far its pretty fun! I haven't quite figured out the proper grip to hold it yet. I'm thinking of using shrink tube (i forget what it's called) to make the trigger less sharp. Have you made heavier bolts yet?

I made some from ink pen cartridges and tape, nails, coffee stirrers and toothpicks, and skewers. Nails are heavy and don't go that far but pack a punch close. Pens have distance and skewers are good. I'm still trying to find a place to buy some pre-made that aren't so expensive. I know what u mean about grip, wish the handle was longer or trigger further forward. Thanks for the feedback. Keep me posted on what you try with it.

alphamav It shoots 4mm BB's better, the toothpicks are hit and miss, they mostly do acrobatics in the air and hit the target sidewards. That's if it doesn't fall out the bow first. Use 4mm BB's

Try resting your steady as a surgeons hand on a sand bag too eliminate the shake . Your shake ruined that first shot so like when you learn photography use a sand bag snipers trick also . That unit is far more powerful than you let on .
