Awesome. I once had a Junxing 180 lb compound crossbow. It was heavy and takes alot of strength to cork it. Finally I sold it. I am now contemplating buying another one which is much easier to handle.

I was thinking there's a high probability that the bullet goes off in the bow and yup. That was surprisingly a huge risk taken he usually takes a little more caution and I'm actually surprised that wasn't way worse and glad he didn't get hurt. I would've bet that would've hurt someone pretty bad!

For the record I've been into crossbows for many years and on crossbow nation and it's okay to call it an arrow cuz it is an arrow a bolt is actually an old medieval projectile without fletching.

Compound crossbow has pulleys, a recurve crossbow has not. A compound bow has pulleys a recurve bow does not. Very simple, he has a compound crossbow.

You need to try two bladed broadheads and bodkin tips. And heavier medieval style bolts. Especially against the body armour.

always wanted to do a rocket powered arrow/bolt - solid propellant in the rear end, removable nock (the bit the string sits in) and when you fire it, the nock stays attached to the string, it has a string wound up inside the shaft with basically a match (striker) so when the arrow is 20 feet away, the striker lights the rocket engine and WHOOSH off it goes
