I met Jerry at the Area 1 championships in the mid '90's. You will not meet a more genuinely nice person than him. We had just finished a stage, and my wife and kids were talking to him when I walked up. I was a timber faller back then, and had an extremely good grip. I shook hands with him, and he matched it. Then he went on to praise my wife and I for bringing our kids out to a big shoot like that. A GREAT and humble man, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet him. I'll never forget it!
I would just love to sit down for a cup of coffee with jerry and just talk guns for a couple hours. That man has forgotten more about shooting than I’ll know in a lifetime and I’m the person who my friends and family come to about anything gun/ammo
Starting at 1:06 trigger finger TF placement. For lack of a better word I'll use finger pad and finger crease. Looks like your trigger is on the pad, about 3/4 of the way to the crease. Is that correct ? Make sense ? Thanks for the excellent video !!
I am not sure if my ear protection was not snug enough or sonic boom penetrates thru the skull! This was my first try of 500 S&W, recoil was not any problem - I shot 300 grain bullets, W296, 45.7g at 1800 velocity. The sonic bang, even though I had my 31 db ear protection on, caused ringing in my ears after I left the range. I shut 15 rounds, my hands and trigger finger were fine. Any advise on reducing the sonic boom effect. Would heavier bullet (350 or 500) with lower velocity be less loud?
