The triviality of American popular culture, its emptiness and gossip, accelerates this destruction of critical thought. It expands the void, the mindlessness that makes the magic, mythology, and irrationality of the Christian Right palatable. Television, the movement’s primary medium, allows viewers to preoccupy themselves with context-free information. The homogenized empty chatter on the airwaves, the banal amusement and clichés, the bizarre doublespeak endlessly repeated on cable news channels and the huge spectacles in sports stadiums have replaced America’s political, social and moral life, indeed replaced community itself. Television lends itself perfectly to this world of signs and wonders, to the narcissism of national and religious self-exaltation. Television discourages real communication. Its rapid frames and movements, its constant use of emotional images, its sudden shifts from one theme to an unrelated theme, banish logic and reason with dizzying perplexity. It, too, makes us feel good. It, too, promises to protect and serve us. It, too, promises to life us up and thrill us. The televangelists have built their movement on these commercial precepts. The totalitarian creed of the Religious Right has found in television the perfect medium. Its leaders know how television can be used to seduce and encourage us to walk away from dwindling, less exciting collectives that protect and nurture us. They have mastered television’s imperceptible, slowly induced hypnosis. And they understand the enticement of credo quia absurdum-I believe because it is absurb. ~ _Chris Hedges, American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America_
not an assault rifle, AR stands for Armalite...which is a brand. AR15's are semi-automatic, just like a pistol, and have never been used by the military
I can come back and watch this video from time to time and it just warms my soul. There is just nothing better than watching violent, armed criminals get what's coming to them. Watching them run off like scared little girls is just hilarious. They're real tough until they come up against somebody who has the same weapons they're carrying but then you get to see their true colors.
it baffles me that you have to explain why you shoot criminals... like for real whats next? explain why you pepper sprayed the rapist that wanted to turn you into a cumdump?

The cult of self dominates our cultural landscape. This cult has within it the classic traits of psychopaths: superficial charm, grandiosity, and self-importance; a need for constant stimulation, a penchant for lying, deception, and manipulation, and the inability to feel remorse or guilt. This is, of course, the ethic promoted by corporations. It is the ethic of unfettered capitalism. It is the misguided belief that personal style and personal advancement, mistaken for individualism, are the same as democratic equality. In fact, personal style, defined by the commodities we buy or consume, has become a compensation for our loss of democratic equality. We have a right, in the cult of the self, to get whatever we desire. We can do anything, even belittle and destroy those around us, including our friends, to make money, to be happy, and to become famous. Once fame and wealth are achieved, they become their own justification, their own morality. How one gets there is irrelevant. Once you get there, those questions are no longer asked. ~ _Chris Hedges, Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle_

Yes, in Britain like in Canada, you are literally not allowed to own anything intended for self-defense. Not mace or even a stick, only 'a weapon of opportunity' that you happen to have, and is considered a reciprocal use of equal force, like the Brit who took down a terrorist with a Narwhal tusk. The RCMP banned a model of gun because it had "Molon Labe" written on it.
That's because Britain's leadership is just as evil and crooked as the criminals and just like the democrats in American they hire them to do their dirty work.
@@Valchrist1313 an offensive weapon is generally defined by going out of your way to use it for example of I walk down the street with a crowbar and use it in self defence that is a offensive weapon where as if in walking down the street and I’m attacked and THEN pick up a crowbar it’s not an offensive weapon atleast that’s the way I understand it

@@bearrett50kal17 Caliber refers to bullet diameter. An AR-15 is usually chambered in 5.56mm NATO/.223 Rem so technically it's .22 caliber. A 9mm is 0.354 inches by comparison, therefore 35 caliber. What makes it more powerful is the velocity the bullet travels at that thanks to the 5.56 NATO's case length of 45mm propelling a bullet weight of about 55 grains rather than the 9mm Luger's 19mm which propels a weight of about 115 grains. This along with longer barrels allows the 5.56 to reach velocities of 3000 fps while 9mm usually manages about 1000+. This means that 5.56 usually imparts an energy of 1700 Joules while the 9mm barely makes 500. In other words, the AR is not technically larger caliber than even a handgun, but caliber doesn't mean more power. Multiple factors such as distance, where is hit, penetration and what is penetrated, bullet material, shape and weight, barrel length, powder load, etc. determine a cartridge's "power", in this case the energy it imparts. For example, a 50 BMG is only more powerful than a 5.56 because it pushes a heavier bullet at the same speed, resulting in a whopping 13,000+ joules. But a 50 GI is nowhere near as powerful as a 5.56 despite being 50 caliber, because the velocity of the 5.56 more than makes up for the deficiency in bullet mass and makes trajectories flatter as a bonus.

I remember working at my uncles gas station in Miami as a kid. I was in the back bagging trash and happened to look at the video feed to see 2 guys holding my uncle at gun point. I was terrified but my uncle opened the register and gave them the money then some lottery tickets. As soon as they turned around he pulled his silver 38 and emptied it then grabbed a sawed off pump from under counter and blasted both twice. Never seen so much blood in my life. Still hate the sound of gunfire to this day. Later I asked why he shot so many times and he said when you have a chance to kill evil, do it, or else it will continue to hurt other people. He certainly lived by those words that day.
Yeah, 100% the lawyer put these words in his mouth. You can see some sort of Rage in this guy. If you ever have to kill in self defense, ALWAYS say: "You feared for your life". There is one incident on JCS where the guy killed another guy that was attacking him in the parking lot and the police asked him multiple times: "What did you think that guy was gonna do to you". And the guy was too afraid for some reason to say: "I thought he was gonna kill me". He just said stuff like: "You know, like. He was up to no good." And that got him into prison.

Hell yeah to that man. There was a professional burglary attempt on a neighboring business to mine that sells and buys gold and jewelry. The power and backup battery bay wires to disable security systems (which are VERY thick) were sliced clean in two with I'm assuming some kind of torch, they then rammed their truck backwards into the side of the store and stole 10s of thousands worth of goods. A couple days later an old man who owns a CBD shop with his wife was pistol whipped and robbed at gunpoint. Over 75 years old and they pistol whipped that poor guy and took ALL of his product. I'm hyper vigilant now and rearranged my whole store to be oriented to see anyone coming in the big one way see through front window. Whenever I see something sketchy I go to the wall nearest the door to the inner section of the store. 3 sections, entrance/store, lounge/office, super lounge. And wait. If I ever see firearms and a clear intent to cause harm not some people exercising open carry, I will shoot first from my position and empty my first mag. Hopefully this brings on the scattering cockroach effect through overwhelming firepower. If not I'll have at least bought some time to lock myself in the office with 2 extra mags and bullet resistant windows and trigger the alarm and call the police.
