I love how he picks items based on the interactions, like he buys a rag instead of paper towels, he buys ordinary "wonder" type of bread, he buys "Mystery Flavor" oatmeal instead of plain to address the theme of the song being about routine not expecting the unexpected, and he buys Decaf coffee to avoid an addiction to caffeine lol

Downy Retard Preferably, milk. It gives it more flavor, in my opinion. Use 1 packet, and mix it with the milk, then microwave it for about 1 minuet. That’s how someone makes oatmeal

When you're trying to break a habit, devastation from failure - reflecting on your decision - hurts a lot more than when you check yourself: stop yourself from doing whatever. Yeah, all of the people he ran into ultimately influenced the choice he made. Well...except for the milk. But even that one had a clear parallel between aged milk and the Oxygen-depenfent Octogenarian. Then, paper towel guy shamed him for being wasteful, so he got eco-friendly reusable washcloths. He didn't want to be like A Bread Guy, so he got the blandest, cheapest bread. He likewise didn't want to be so anal and structured like Time Guy, so he got "mystery flavor" to be unpredictable. Then, the Caffeinated Lady made him question his caffeine dependence and he got decaf. Then, finally, nobody influences his cheese decision, he decided to leave it up to fate, randomly picked a crappy one, and realized he could have done better. And so we come full circle, he learns to trust his own judgement and picks a yogurt sample. Hooray?

to me this song is so good because it can work with most unhealthy coping habits. Its not just about coffee, it's about how sometimes our ways to cope can consume us to a point where it feels like it's the only thing that's keeping us alive, and that we must remind ourselves to take a break/attempt to have more control over our unhealthier habits by substituting them with more healthy and safe ones.

Also I don’t know if anyone else is noticing, but his shopping choices are being affected by the situations. Like here, after seeing that woman hopped up on caffeine, he went with decaf, the indestructible towel was affected by him seeing how fragile everything was, and the wonder bread after seeing how snooty “artisan” bread is.

Plus expired milk is similar to the elderly woman who is seemingly close to death or has lived her life. If you look closely at the character models you’ll notice that a lot of them are based off of the product the video is about for example in this video the woman’s head looks similar to a mug, with the ear being the handle. There are some cool comparisons in all of these videos see if you can spot them 💕

I hate myself for not realizing sooner. I'm just now about to delete all of my games on my phone cause it really isnt getting me no where. I'm slacking behind in school and this is my last year. I need to be passing all of my classes right now. I cant fail a single one. I'm on the verge of graduating and not, I'm right on that thin line. Yea and it was of course hard to not want to reinstall smth to play on. After the 2nd week or so I just transitioned into not using my phone as much. I graduated and have a job now which is really exciting and keeps me going. Ive rewarded myself by reinstalling some apps I used but I try not to spend so much time on them even if they are a lot of fun. i think its the ither way around where the plants/drugs(like coffee beans, opium poppies, cannabis, peyote, mushrooms etc...) "wants" in our life have evolved to give us sensations that trick our brains by activating similar receptors in our neurons into "needing" those plants the same way we need food by "wanting" or "craving" plants when we are hungry

Jack Stauber is stylistically one of the most talented and unique artists I’ve ever encountered on the internet. I stumbled across some of his videos a couple months back and was instantly entranced by his bizarre visuals, wild emotive singing and interesting blending of stop motion animation, cartoons and computer generated graphics. What really impressed me about his newest project, SHOP: a pop opera, recently featured on adult swim, was the seamless blending of all the afore mentioned creative mediums, as well as the subject matter that he chose to write sketches and songs about. The project managed to somehow introduce several complex ideas about modern life, drugs and making decisions all while hiding under the guise of being an animated short about a man visiting the supermarket.

This speaks to me as someone with addict in his blood. Lately I have been coping with the effects of a toxic relationship I recently escaped. With a lot of alcohol and weed every night. I slowly ramped up to smoking a whole joint and 4 7% beers a night after work. It helped me forget and helped me sleep. I would tell myself I just liked the drinking because of the taste not the effects. I would tell myself I liked smoking for the peaceful time outside puffing on something, not the high. Just like the song states I was being blind by my own perception of the thing I was addicted to, but realized it’s best to find out if that’s true or not. Very recently stopped both coping habits. And I defiantly am addicted to both. Crazy how our brain tricks us.
