@@luploopers I also love this feature! Especially with ballpoint pens, I have to know that Jetstream inks will fit or I won't even consider the pen 😂 (I mean, besides my fountain pen collection 🤣😅)
Tips: Do your research before buying it and see if it fits your needs and budget! Most of the time, brands have their own versions of the same things with their own twist. Buying a sample instead of bulk will also help as it helps you to see if it’s worth buying (:
I've never used the search features or comparisons like that, but boy now I'm going to give it a shot!! I have to spend another 30 minutes on JetPens to familiarize myself with the search features. I'm not shopping, just checking it out. Really. I promise. 🤞 😂😂
Seriously, the filters on your search pages are chefs kiss. I constantly find myself wanting these features on literally every other website I shop, no one does this as well as you and it is SO USEFUL!
Seconding this! The site is so intuitive & well thought out. I remember years ago first shopping at Jet Pens & then being really frustrated shopping at another site when it wasn’t as thoughtful 😂
I agree!! It's more than stationary!! I think part of the JP brand is the connection with the cool people that work there that put themselves out there (on YT) because they love stationary too. It feels like you're sitting down with a new friend comfortably sharing your quirky pen/washi tape obsession. 😁
Putting Stephanie in the "this is how to buy from our shop" video is the best way to make sure I click something I wouldn't normally. Why do you guys make such good content???? Also I really slept on the compare function..
Awesome, as usual! We need a “Duplicate Stephanie’s Order” button. I know they’re listed in the description, but who wouldn’t want to press that button?!
At my current stage, I've learned to use the filter sidebar and "recommended refills/parts" function, but the Comparison Tool is new to me! That's going to make going wild-eyed at all the colors -- ahem, narrowing down choices, even more effective. 2:34 when Stephanie mentioned the insurmountable decision of choosing an ink, I already recall that Confession of an Ink Hoarder bit! It's part of such an iconic JetPens video :D Heavy metal skeleton JetDo is something I never knew I needed in my life until 12:04 \m/ Also, "bury me in stationery" is a feeling I have that I hadn't put into words until now. It's brilliant
How have I missed the Compare function? I do a LOT of shopping at JetPens... more shopping than buying. (I LOVE that the website software doesn't empty your cart.... but stuff stays there as long as you want it to). I shop with the Search feature, the categories along the top below the Search box, the sub-categories in the categories, the filtering, the Compatible Products, and Recommended Refills / Parts. I just placed an order the other day. I was deciding between several ink colors & ended up taking screen grabs of the swatches. I also checked out the customer reviews of the inks & found folk's description of the colors to be very helpful (i.e. reads more orange than coral; more of a browny-pink,)
The incredible website is exactly what every business everywhere should try to emulate. But it's your inventory and selection that first hooked me. You are like a large Tokyo stationery store right here on my iPad. Oh, I love the videos too, letting people's personality show through is brilliant!
I'm a big fan of the comparison tool because I will agonize over colors for foreeevver. I genuinely love all the categories I can filter through. So thank you guys for being so thorough!! also the little skeleton/heavy metal JetDo?!???!!?? as a gothy little guy I loved it so much
Omg I shop at JetPens for pens and notebook stuff often! The metal music spoke volumes to me because I enjoy that type of music! Showing others how to navigate the website is great and I enjoy these tutorials when I recommend everyone else to JetPens
My favorite pen product filter is Grip Diameter. A diameter under 9mm brings me so much joy, but they’re not very common, so I really appreciate being able to jump right to them.
This is a video that will really help people like me, who wound up emailing customer service (who were very nice and helpful) after trying to search for a few items and finding myself needing to scroll through 1000 different things. I didn’t notice the whole filters thing particularly, and the especially helpful “sort by” and use alphabetical (or, say you’re looking for a pen refill, choose price low to high…generally if you’ve put in ‘Pentel Engergel 0.5’ the cheapest items that will come up are refills.) The reading guides they have can also be very helpful. P.S. Stephanie…you need all the Rhodia…Rhodia is absolutely lovely paper and blows Leuchterm paper out of the water. Rhodia is wonderful with fountain pens (and fine liners, and gel pens, and water based markers.)
I thought I knew the JetPens website inside out, but I didn't. Thanks for the tips. I just put in an order on Monday and I'm surprised it didn't ship yet. The only reason I want it asap is because I am sending a friend a care package that will get her into the JetPens rabbit hole while she recovers from surgery. I'd love to see a video on how each of you store your personal ink collection. I need some ideas! I must admit I laughed when I saw only two items in your wish list, Stephanie. I have more than 180!
the Rhodia notebook is really nice with fountain pens. I'm just finishing up my first one today and I've used my fountain pens to write in the whole thing. really nice writing experience.
Love the Aggretsuko-like rage metal. LOL This was an amazing video and I was very entertained. I have been shopping JetPens for over 2 years now I think and I just only learned about the Compare. Thanks for the tip. I need more fountain pen ink...haha
I've just spent the last 2 hours weeding through my cart on your site and moving to wishlist or deleting items. Somehow I ended up with over $1800 usd in my cart while browsing last night! I'm such a stationary addict! And you, ma'am, have convinced me I need to browse notebooks(as I look at the dozen unused ones in front of me)! This is dangerous. This binge watching your videos thing I'm doing... BTW, I absolutely love the edit roll at the end of all your videos! It just makes all of you so much more relatable and endearing!
Been shopping at jetpens since the first time I went to Japan and was looking for a place to buy Japanese stationery over a decade and a half ago. I love that you're still around.
Totally a fan of everything on this website! I am a true believer in all things related to pens, inks and papers. Of ALL the sites available on the internet this is the BEST! Thank you for all the best products presented in the most innovative way.
So many stationery items, that's why we love JetPens. The compare feature is awesome, I have never used it, it's excellent for ink. I send my wish list out every year for the holidays, it's JetPens Christmas every year. I have multiple wishlists, one for supplies that I always buy and then a new one yearly to add the items I love that year (sending that one to friends and family). I would have never bought the shiba inu wrist rest pen case, but now I own it, thanks to my wish list!
I've been using this site for ages and don't search for things like this at all. I suppose it's because I have navigation habits carried over from inferior websites. Thanks so much for sharing!
Looking at my most recent haul sitting on my desk in the package because I want to savor everything in it when I have time, and already adding new items to my cart... This is a judgment free zone.
I so love Stephanie's acting skills "my wallet slipped" 😂😂😂❤ And editors "are you ready to shooop" 😅😅😅 sadly shopping to Poland would be to expensive but one day I will buy something from JetPens 😅
I just very recently got a friend for my Kaweco Sport. They are now very happy! I LOVE Rhodia notebooks. I write a LOT!! I can fill up a Rhodia notebook that is lined in one month. So I have gone through a lot of notebooks. For fun I have tried out other notebooks like Midori and Leuchtturm. I really liked Midori and loved Rhodia notebooks the best!! I would buy Rhodia notbooks over and over and over again. ❤❤❤
I have to say, that even though can't buy anything from your site for fear of customs! I really enjoy using your website to look for different brands etc and your search engine and comparison tool is sooooo helpful!
In 1991 I spent time in France as an exchange student. Every high school student there used a fountain pen, so I got used to them. I remember my Waterman pen fondly. Looks like I need to try a Japanese or German one now!
Omg omg omg I need more unhinged Stephanie 😂😂😂😂❤❤ And I lowkey love the cameo by Ann and Josh!❤ I love your products, staff, channel everything Jetpens!!!
I want to thank you for something you've sort of implied over time: the Manyo inks look better in a really wide nib. There's more ink, so it reads better, pools just that much more; for example the Manyo HaHa is much more effective with the Kaweco sport burgundy without a clip () with the double nib. Just saying - the clip is optional 😁
Don’t get me wrong, but Stephanie is the cutest young lady! If I had a daughter, I would want her to be Stephanie. Well, to be honest, it would be more like granddaughter, but I would be super proud!
Duuuude! Tell me why I never saw the comparison button before!! That feature is so handy!! I must be blind lol. I just end up getting all the colors hahah
🍃Great video very helpful and yes I too am stationary obsessed! On a note, I purchased a Rhodia meeting notebook and the threads broke along the spine, now my pages are falling out. Despite this I love using it! 😊❤🍃
Stephanie: it maybe time to add to my Kaweco pen collection. I have um...many of the sports in various colors but not the one you are showing in this video. Dang it, I want them all.
Me: you have enough pens, inks and notebooks. Think of the hobonichi order!!! Also me: I'd get the blue kaweco, bronze or gold clip, green manyo ink, and a berry colour rhodia 🧐 (adds to wishlist) I looooveeee the editing of these ahhh❤❤
Hey Stephanie, I've had my Toyama Teal for some time now, and recently replaced the Fine nib with a 1.1 Stub. I've also converted it to eyedropper fill which gives it a larger ink capacity. If I use only one ink in it, I know of a way to refill the pen without having to remove the section!
Two sports is about the right amount for me. They are both great. The one that goes in my pocket is aquring a nice patina. The new piston version does look sick, I may splurge when my birthday rolls around. The number of notebooks I have bought because I wanted free shipping, embarrasing.
The frickin outtakes! 😂😂😂 Also, the filter function on the side, is that desktop only? I don't think I've yet to visit the site on desktop so I don't remember seeing that but that's very handy! Also didn't know there was a comare option! Does it only let you compare the items from the same series or just any items? Like, if I'm torn between two different journals not from the same brand? I really like the filter to find beginner-friendly fountain pens. Also...genius idea to have a wish list function! I always use mine on any website to just store items I will buy later and never share my wishlist. Given I told my mom last weekend that I just wanted an automatic spinning brush for cleaning the tub as my birthday present...I should start making a list and passing it around 😂. But I did get my brush and am very happy, lol. Anything that makes cleaning easier, I'm grateful for.
Glad you enjoyed the outtakes 😊 You can use the Comparison Tool for products between brands, and as long as they are the same product type (ie. both journals), you'll be able to compare them across their shared qualities! If you compare a pen and a notebook, there will be fewer comparable features, but it's still a great way to have the price and reviews handy.
I can’t believe you picked sapphire over peacock. Devastated. 😫 Hinoki is a great ink, though. If you put Manyo Shirakashi in your Dark Olive, your Sports will achieve super epic twinnage!
