Making a disc sander from my table saw with velcro discs Links Hook & loop sanding discs: www.thewoodworks.com.au/shop/... Self adhesive backed velcro started disc: www.thewoodworks.com.au/shop/...
I just purchased a used table saw for $10.00 so I could modify it to a disc sander. And then I find you on RU-vid. It's going to be really easy and inexpensive$$$. Thanks for your idea.
Why doesn't everyone do this. Great video, thank you: You just gained a new subscriber. The table saw I used is belt drive, which allows me to change the speed of the disk, by changing the pulleys. Also, I cut the teeth off of an old saw blade, and glued 'wet-or-dry' paper to each face, one rough, and one fine,,, so without changing disks, I can rough it out on one side, then move to the finer-cut side.
@@OneManBandWoodworks Thanks for the reply. The 10" is a little big actually, I just found something that I never knew existed: Freud calibration and sanding disk. I need something smaller to fit my saw, or I can modify the table. (I use the set-up to linish the edge of chainsaw guide bars. I'm also building a groove grinder to clean out, and deepen the depth of the groove of the guide bar. And, I really do woodwork,,,, I've built multiple clocks, boxes, etc,,,, and the house looks like shizz. Love your presentations,,,, Thank you.
I was watching Mike Farrington's channel. He uses an Edge Tech disc for sanding MDF edges. It's slightly tapered for entry and exit. works really well.
Pretty awesome concept mate, if that's your original idea hats off to ya & how effective with the dust extraction, Paul Jackman did something similar with an attachment on the back of his wood lathe but your idea is better, cheers 👍
Sorry about the pyjamas, no that could rezult in non surgical castration from kickback but I use the mitre square for perfect mitres and angles. Works really well.
