@@StateofKait it really does. My frivolous buy is one of the Merit lipsticks in Cabo because I’ve been stuck on the berry shade everything train for far too long and it’s enough already. I’m going outside my comfort zone and got a few orangey/terracotta toned items and I’m really excited. By the way, I LOVE my Dyson dryer. Got it at one of the sales a few yrs ago. My hair is so much healthier because of it in my opinion. I can dry my hair in half the time of a regular dryer. Only thing is that it scares the living shit out of my cats🤪

You look so good in these earrings! Just looked at your list down below and was very happy they were included. I love the fitglow concealer per your recommendation. My concealer recommendations for some moisturizing and hydrating similar concealers with a glow would be teint idol all over, armani luminous silk, tom ford shade and illuminate and Anastasia Bev Hills magic touch concealer. At the drugstore the nyx serum concealer and the winky lux peeper perfect concealer are insanely good

@@StateofKait I think it's worth it!! But I actually love having similiar stuff because I only ever do one makeup look and try to perfect that one... I think the colours are quite similiar but also quite different because blush please looks like a nude leaning orange on my (fair olive) face and I think fleurtatious leans more pink... I checked out the beauty youtubers you mentioned and fleurtatious looks SO GOOD on all of them, it's a wild guess here but it could be T H E blush :-D 🙂 ps: I know powder blushes are kind of over but my all time favourite shade that looks exactly like natural rosacea pink is 'Sweet Enough' by mac. It's the mineralize formula and it's supposed to be 'matte' but it leaves a sheen on your face, you truly cannot detect it on the skin.

This was such a good video! I loved hearing your process over each pick! There are some things I look to Ulta to buy over Sephora, because even if they don't really do the 20% off coupons like they used to the rewards system is better. I have $175 in points at Ulta right now because I've been hoarding them, and I had the same reaction to using a Dyson dryer for the first time...so I may just use all my points one day on it.

Love your channel and your honest reviews in products!! If this interests you, I’d love to see a video comparing skin tints or tinted moisturizers comparing coverage and finish ( Dewey or matte, etc). In the summer I like to keep it simple with a skin tint and don’t know which ones are the best. Thank you!!

I’m going to keep it! The difficult aspect is it’s in the middle of our bedroom so I have to setup and tear down all of the equipment every time, but I’m happy to do that for chatty videos! Then the makeup looks can be in the living room (and I’m working on getting lights to make it much brighter and prettier to look at!)

Hey Kait, Look at your humidity level. HA’s “Work Best” at taking the moisture from the air at 75% and Above. As your atmosphere creeps towards 64% humidity level..The HA “Seeks & Takes” the Water From Your Skin. Yes, even with an Occlusive over it. Albiet, less so. I am developing a Sunscreen.. I am choosing “Other Than HA’s” for hydration. HA is in Everything! There are just “Better Choices.” Good Luck w/your dry skin my friend..LOVE LOVE You & Your Channel❣️❣️❣️

Omg try the Native Mineral Fragrance Free Sunscreen!!! It's amazing. I just discovered it as I can't wear chemical either. U can get it at Target. $20 for like 4oz of product. No white cast (but I'm gostly pale so 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️) non drying, non greasy, good under makeup. It's perfection *chef kiss*

Loved this video and your thoughtfulness behind your purchasing even for investment pieces. I hope you ended up getting the dyson. It's an investment, but for two people to use it on a constant basis and for the performance it delivers, it's really a great piece. On the flip side, you had me add some items I didn't even have on my radar. the sample perfumes and the mini-bronzer were added to my cart. A glowy bronzer is not something I go to often so a smaller size is perfect.

We have similar skin tones, but I really think you should check out the NYX Bare With Me Concealer Serum. I know it's drugstore, womp womp, but it's medium-full coverage and flexible. The shade Light is pretty cool toned and almost a perfect face shade match for me.

I love “Salt” by Ellis Brooklyn, I wish they made a rollerball of this size cause it sounds right up my alley and somewhat similar to Salt. I think our skin tone is pretty much the same, so I struggle the same way as you, or the one I am closest to is time sold out 99% of the time.

I hope you ended up getting the Dyson blow dryer. There is something so special about the two of you using it at the Soho house that is so charming and reminds me of when my husband and I bring seemingly small things from wonderful vacations home and use them in our daily life. The ELLIS West is amazing. I cannot put my finger on what makes is special. I am crazy sensitive to perfumes and fragrances. Credo also has a great selection and usually have the smaller sizes in stock. Also, Pat McGrath has a sale that runs around this same time as the Sephora sale and the discount is 30%, get the blush you won’t regret it. Kackie and State and Cate are 100% right.😊

I have 3 of the Tarte Juicy Lip Plumps and the plumping is very cooling. Almost the exact sensation as the Buxom Full on Lip polishes which are my all time favorite lip glosses but the cooling in the tarte ones are not as strong as the buxom.

Mineral sunscreen - try dr jart every sun day mineral sunscreen spf 50. I’ve used it for a few years. It was recently reformulated and it’s still good. I don’t like chemical sunscreens. I prefer physical.

Hi Kait! I love the Fitglow foundation based on your recommendation; earlier you mentioned you might be able to go to a shade 2 but don't. I am NW20 in MAC and the 2 is way too light for me. Also if you are looking for a replacement to their concealer, try the Clinique Even Better one. Got the recommendation from Mandy Davis and it's perfect; melts into skin and doesn't move. I always end up taking off the Dyson, my hairdresser even told me that unless you use it every day, you shouldn't be spending that kind of money on a hair dryer...I have to say I try never using hot tools on my hair so it does make sense for me to not buy it ;-) As for the Dior concealer, I don't know if it's the same as the foundation but I had to return it because of the perfume...It was strong.. I think I might give a try to that mini bronzer!! Good luck and hope you wont end up like me with a bowring basket ;-)

I know you're not the biggest red lips fan but hear me out: if you find that you love the Merit formula, then I suggest you pick up the shade Cabo in the future. It's the most lovely soft burnt orange, slightly rusty red. It's a gentle red that's incredibly flattering. Merit is my new favorite lipstick formula hands down.

Totally different - ere Perez harmony is a soft creamy peach with a hint of pink. Blush please is more of a pinky mauve

Have you swatched the One Size concealers in person? I have shade Fair 3 NR (neutral rose) and I feel like it might match you also, it’s pretty neutral and inbetween fair and light. Their fair shades are not super fair, and I don’t feel like the photos on the website are very accurate, the photos look a lot paler than what I see in person. They also have a few other neutral shades in the light range. Worth a swatch! I really like the texture and wear time, it’s super silky and spreadable and blurring but holds coverage

@@StateofKait yes definitely medium-full buildable, it’s not like a paint-like full full. But the blur aspect also makes it very perfected looking! I was pretty surprised at the neutralness of some of the shades, I literally haven’t bought a new concealer in years because everything is so orange pink or yellow.

Have your tried Dolce & Gabbanna L'imperatrice its a unique fresh watermelon smell. Like real watermelon not candy sweet. They dont have a travel size at sephora though but if you're ever in store I suggest a sniff

If you want to save some $$ on dry shampoo, try batiste from the drugstore. So cheap and so good. Just leave it in and then rub it with a dry towel and your done.

Have you tried the rose inc concealer? It's super full coverage. I purchased 010 and 050 because the neutrals seem to be the closest light olive-toned I can find. 010 is very, very light so I've been mixing.

I just saw (and got) a travel size of ellis fable at TJ MAXX??! Cayskin lip balm definitely doesn’t have a chemical taste. I recently bought the sun bum one and the chemical taste in that was horrific so I know what you mean by that. Even the light vanilla scent doesn’t translate as a taste in the cayskin balm. I’ve tried two others that also have no sunscreen taste: Jack Black spf 25 and O’Keefe’s spf 35 (this one’s super cheap and matte so I like to wear it under my lipstick/gloss).

I really struggle with concealer shades too. They are almost always too peach, pink or yellow and I am a true neutral shade (maybe even olive leaning) but pretty fair/light. I tried the Rose Inc lightest shade since Hanna Louise Poston loves it so much and while the undertone was absolutely perfect the shade was too light and once you start going darker they all go pink, peach or yellow so they didn’t have a shade for me. However I finally found something that is nearly perfect-the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer. I started with Chantilly and again the undertone was perfect but the shade was too light so I went to the Vanilla and it is absolutely perfect! They have a million shades so they might have one that works for you too.
