I love how well you both get on. You have obviously been a great Mum through their growing years which shows now in your relationship. I love how John rubs your hair. 🥰
I just love your Son...he is so personable and not at all camera shy. You can see in his eyes how much he adores his "Mother". I love these map pinnings also because it is interesting to see how far and wide your videos reach...it must be truly astounding to you. Thank you so much for sharing your time and Thank you John for coming by to do the pinning. Have a Blessed day.
You are such a light, Kate! Isn't it wonderful to have fun times with your son? Tomorrow is Father's Day here and my grand daughter and I are making dinner for my amazing son....so blessed! Soon you will have a grand daughter too! So excited for you!
I was thrilled to see my pin placed on the map for Omaha, Nebraska! Omaha is indeed right on the border of Nebraska with Iowa to the east, and the Missouri River in between. Yes, John, I have been to Sioux City, Iowa which is about 100 miles driving distance north of Omaha. It is a lovely city and the hometown of one of my friends. The Two Rivers State Recreation area is about 30 miles to the west of Omaha. It's really fun to hear all of the places around the world where you are placing the pins. Congratulations, Kate, on nearing 10,000 subscribers!
Carol Tate I’m going to copy this comment and send it to John, he really enjoys pinning - I never have to ask him, he just turns up when I least expect it ‘shall we do some pins Mum?’ He’s a sweetheart! Xxxxxx
Dear Kate, this was my mother name and always busy like you. I really enjoyed your talk today ,although exhausted with all you pack into your day.You put me to shame .l go to 3 patchwork groups each month and that keeps me busy and out of trouble,l have never married so no children .l was a children’s nanny all my working life And have fun making quilts for their young ones.l like to give them in person as l love 💕 to see their faces as they open them . And at 74 these are my happy moments, as l sew the next one. Thank you again from France.
I really love watching John pin the board, I have no idea why I like it so much, but it makes me laugh, the two of you deciding where the pins need to go. Thank you for sharing.
The like button helps the algorithm , everyone push that button! Help our Kate! Ex pat living in Wisconsin here, it's like having a chat with a friend from home. My favourite channel.
Forever grateful I found you "way back when" quite by accident. I'm always searching for friendly people in cozy houses with gardens and coffee and color and countrysides - and must have put that in the search bar. What a lucky find it was!
Yay for your fun and unique ceramics! To reduce breakage, you might try double boxing ceramics to ship, Kate. One small box in which you pack the piece, well-padded with bubble wrap or newspaper. Then put that box in a second box so that it is surrounded on all sides, top and bottom, with padding (crumpled newspaper, tightly packed, works well). I've been shipping ceramics (Including lots of mugs with handles, which are notorious for breaking in the mail) for almost 30 years, and this is the best way I've found to do it.
Fun video. It was fun to see both of you with enthusiasm looking for the places to put in the pins. You both said the City of Helena correctly. I'm from Kalispell, Montana and my stepson and his family live in Helena. It is the Capital of Montana. I can't wait to see the pinning of my city on your map. I'm one of your shoppers. I like that John gave out a bit of information of the surrounding areas for each pin. I can see that John is SO proud of his Mum. Bless you and your family. Hope your Dad is doing well, and you were able to visit him for Father's day. My oldest brother and his wife were finally able to visit our Dad this Father's Day. It had been 3 years since they saw him in person. He is 90 years old. Our Dad lives with me and my husband and our dog - Abbey. I get the joy and blessings from having him here with us daily. I'm one lucky daughter! Oh, I also liked your signing out from Pink HQ - Got a chuckle out of that! Tell next time - over and out.
Kate, I am so glad to have found you. I am from Kentucky, USA and I enjoy visiting with you on your videos. I have been a subscriber for a bit now and I am watching eagerly to see you hit 10,000.
Dear Kate, I am so happy that your channel is growing so good. I came to your channel while searching for videos of scrap quilts. You were just starting with the red/pink quilt and I was magnified by your sympathic personality and did not miss a video since then. I would love to support you as a patreon but we are saving every Euro left for modernizing the house of my boyfriends grandparents. We are facing a lot of issues here and there but your videos just brighten my days. So sorry for not supporting you this way, but I am aiming to put a lovely comment in every video I watch, hit like and also subscribed a while back. Hope that this helps the channel to grow. Maybe I can buy something beautiful from you shop once everything is done. All the best from Germany. xoxo Stephanie
Hi Stephanie - I hope the 'issues' you mention resolve themselves for you - it can be very frustrating doing home renovations - so good luck with that - and thank you for your support! xxx
Thank you, Kate, for your wonderful videos. I really enjoy peaceful visits at the last homely house. A suggestion for mailing your ceramics is to fill the inside of each piece fairly full with crinkled paper or other packing material to provide support from the inside and protect against shock if the box is dropped. Just that little inside support can make a big difference. When sending more than one piece, separate them from each other with a piece of cardboard to keep them from touching each other. I sometimes ship dishes, and so far this method is helping keep them safe. Keep your story coming! I am enjoying every minute of it!
So enjoyed having my morning coffee with you Kate here in Bothell Washington (just north of Seattle). Thank you for yet another lovely video. Love all the pottery...
You both pronounced Helena correctly - we're a little touchy about that. Helena is also the capital of Montana. This gives me an opportunity to tell you how simply delightful you are and I love your videos. I've only recently discovered you - actually, I'm quite new to this RU-vid thing. I love that you touch on such a variety of interests. I appreciate the quieter, reflective moments you share and going on walks through your garden and surrounding areas. My focus has been on quilting, but I can see checking in with you often is going to drive me to broaden my creative instincts, thank you!
So in other words, when you have a headache that is the room to go to as lavender is great for headaches. I also wanted to say that everytime I walk by your calendar I always stop and look at all the wonderful photos again and again. I read the story of Norma to my grandson (he is 15 months old) everytime he comes to visit. It is his favorite book as he loves kitty's. I hope I can afford to be more than a one dollar a month patreon because I loved your videos of you reading and was sad to find out you did more but they are at a much higher level on patreon.😢 Yet another great video Kate!! Have a wonderful weekend!😄
Kate, I have recently discovered your channel and I feel like I have found a new friend! I have many of the same interests as you, quilting, sewing, pottery, etc. I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching you and your lovely life! You really do bring joy to my life! Thank you.
I love your pottery. You are so talented. I enjoy all your videos. I have many of them in the last 2 weeks. I love your personality. You are always smiling. Sometimes you can put a smile on my face. You brighten my day. I have RU-vid on my tv. So I get to think your in my living room. I love the way you decorated your house. I love the colors in the kitchen and your sitting room. I think your pink room turned out to be a great headquarters for your business. I am looking forward to see what the next conversation will be. By the way, I love to watch your cooking/baking videos. I wish I had a garden. I don't have the talent.
Thank you for your videos I do enjoy watching them. You’ve encouraged me to make soap for the first time, well I did make it in school during chemistry. I can’t afford patreon right now but I do really appreciate your free videos. I found your channel through my main hobby quilting.
I love a catch up. I felt like I should be drinking coffee or tea while I watched. You are one of my favorite people, your family is lucky to have you!💚
I am enjoying your smile and chat, I am 89 and still fusing glass and porcelain Christmas ornaments too, have always got something going on in my kiln, I taught ceramics for 40 yrs, retired now, but have to continue for friends and one little shop in Padstow. I have only just found you. Have a lovely day x VR
You are such a busy lady. I love your videos, you are a dear friend stopping in for coffee. Thank you for lighting up my day. Thanks to John for pinning the map.
Great video again. I think there’s two kinds of people, the ones who like bright colours and then my favourite earthy colours. Just for a chuckle, I always say to my husband, “ My best friend across the pond has put a new video on for me to watch “ 😊 You never fail to make me smile, thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
Oh your son is so lovely. Kate love your pincushion bowls but I just adore your little small bowl and beakers. The glaze inside is gorgeous. Great job and thanks for sharing. Hugs Avril xx New Zealand 💕🦋🦋
Luv your down to earth presence and your work. Good to see a fellow potter/quilter showing here skills. I also do pottery on the wheel and enjoy it very much, I am the kiln loader for our class and it is always a surprise when you open the kiln and see the pots in all their glory. Some great, some surprises and some failures in your own eyes that others luv. Congrats on all your projects, and a big Aloha from Hawaii. p.s. I luv luv luv those 7,000 squares that make up those gorgeous curtains in your sun room.
SurferGirl K opening the kiln is like Christmas morning when you get your favourite present and a few disappointing ones! Ha ha! It’s always a great surprise!
What a lovely son you have there and his geographical knowledge is fantastic! Mine is so atrocious I wouldn't know where to start but I am learning too! Thankyou
Hi Kate. Always love to see your pottery. They always turn out so beautifully. Great to see you and John doing the map. And at the end ruffleing your hair. 😂😂 and a second time for good messure. 😂 xxxxx💕
I love the little pots I got from you months ago! I use them for tea or sake...and nibbles. Mostly I leave them out in an arrangement on my dining room table.
I found you because RU-vid knows I enjoy watching people create...anything. You’re quite inspiring and I’m loving your videos. Thanks for Investing the time in making them. 😎
Kate, you are just so lovely! It is wonderful to watch your videos. I'm always amazed at your varied interests, but I think that "crafty" people are just like that (which describes my family as well). I'm so thrilled to see your channel grow. I found you back when you made candies and were mentioned on Hercules channel. My best to you! Julie
Congratulations on 10,000 subs! When I subbed I had just randomly run across your channel, but your wonderful personality & interesting content, (& actually the whole package, the cats, your lovely home, everything) made me become a sub. I look forward to seeing what you're up to each time, it's like having a visit with a dear friend.
Love your pottery Kate. I think it's great that John comes to help you with the map. Love that he calls you Mother. I always called my Mother that also. God bless you and your family.
Delightful way to start Saturday. Love the pinning of the map, can't wait to see Arkansas pinned. Visited my daughter in Missouri last week and took her two of the beautiful spotted pin cushions for her quilting studio I purchased from your shop. Her first comment was beautiful, but how did she sew those tiny connecting strips. Keep on amazing us and keeping us inspired.
So pleased to see you once again. Would like to see your garden and how it’s doing? Mine is slowly coming along. The weather here in my part of the world, Manitoba S E, has been extreme. One day super hot and the very next, near frost. Still planting and our growing season is only 3 months. Love the ceramics!
Hello Kate I have been following you since your Hercules Candy chocolate covered cherries film, I so enjoy your warmth, enthusiasm and energy in all you do. I am a fledgling crafter, having taken up crating after my mum passed, she was always crafting. You give me so much inspiration, I just wish I had more time to create. Please keep making your videos, they really cheer me up and I always look forward to the notification popping up to say you have posted another one. All the best Sue G
Kate - I love watching you with your children - especially John when he teases you by messing up your hair…. Cheri A in Gardnerville Nevada USA (south of Reno) Cheers!
Kate, You are such a breath of fresh air. I love many of the same things that you do. Of special interest is creating pottery on the wheel. Please keep posting! I am Sheila from Denton, TX
Hello Kate from Minnesota! Thank you again for a lovely chat and I love MAPS and it is great fun to see where all of your shoppers and patreons are from. Until next time. So long and have a wonderful day.
I am a pretty new subscriber...have only watched a few videos so far. I just love you. I loved watching you and your son put pins on the map....(my son's name is John, too) I was very impressed that your son was so familiar with geography, knew where so many cities are in Europe. Such fun to see! When I saw bits of your kitchen in the bee video I just watched, I was soooooo wishing you would scan the camera around your kitchen. All the colors you have painted your cabinets and table and chairs...I just want to see it all. Would you consider doing that? Is the rest of your house so original?? :o)
I just love watching the pinning on the map and the chatter between you and John. Makes my heart smile! Can't wait to see the reveal of the new quilt you finished. My studio has been very quiet as all my time has been spent outside working in the garden. I had to chuckle at the Christmas comment, and it being " only June". July in my world is the start of making things for Christmas. My gifts are always and have always been hand made by me, and I sell a lot for Christmas as well... Thanks for sharing your passions with us! Dale from Whatever the Weather May Be ( in Canada)
I found you when you were tidying drawers, it's was great hearing the background/hystory of the items. I was just on the last leg of finnishing my MA in anthropology, working at the time on sorting and labeling the artifacts of a group of lot bags that had been untouched since the 70's, so you going through the drawers peaked my interest...and nosey nature 😉
A fellow quilter asked if I watch your channel, so pleasantly surprised how fun this is to follow as I knit or do hand work. Thanks for all you do, Livermore, CA
Thank you, Kate. I love all your videos and can hardly wait to see them again. You are a fantastic inspiration to us all. Didn’t think I would be missing the kitties, but I am.😃Have a Blessed weekend. See you soon, dear lady.❣️
Received the LAVENDER BAG hmm smells wonderful, I 'present' tied it with yarn and have hung it in my Art/craft studio. This Liberty fabric is so soft and light a delight to touch!
Beautiful Mother and Son relationship! Happy to see your channel growing. I received my lavender pouch and I love it. I enjoy seeing John put the pins in the map. Blessings
I look forward to your videos and enjoy the variety of them immensely. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed the sorting out of the drawers. Especially when you found something you had forgotten about. I hope you have a wonderful day. From Springfield Oregon, USA. Judy B
February 8 2024 Maryland USA; How sweet to hear John call Kate “Mother”. As a Mom with a son that is 44 years old when he says My Mom my heart just melts and times I cry a bit. He is a very tall young man at 6 feet 5 inches and gives me the best hugs. He still holds my hand like I did for him to help him navigate his first steps and continue.
What a wonderful person you are Kate and so brilliant! I'm so glad I discovered your channel! You are doing so many things I wish I could do...who knows, some day. Your pottery is beautiful and so are your quilts. What a great idea to add pins to the board. Please continue doing what you do and sharing your life with us! I've already hit the subscribe and smashed the bell. lol Have a wonderful day!
Oh Kate... I absolutely adore you!! I must have been one of the lurkers you were talking about.... Just looked but didn't subscribe... but I'm a subscriber now! You truly are one of my favourite people out in The Ether world!
Ohh the blue beakers!!! 💙💙 I'd use one for tea and coffee. I wish they could ship safely to the US - I'd ask my family to get me one for my birthday. Heehee
I have just found you on Facebook and I think you have the most lovely way about you. I’m not a cat person but I think your gentleness is amazing. One of these days I will send you a video of my “Covid” necklace, which I made from all my face mask scraps. Take care and stay well🥰
