She’s great for the “general knowledge” aspect of skin care goals and what ingredients are. I had no clue what the fitz Patrick scale was until Cassandra started RU-vid. Unfortunately I am a skin of colour so her channel won’t work for me as all in all help for my struggles. But I do enjoy her videos and I wish there were more fellow skin esthetician’s on RU-vid that shared the same depth of knowledge that us skin of colour folk really need!
Cassandra, you’re gorgeous !!! Thanks to you I found ‘my own skincare’. I was struggling with acne for 10 years, and now, thanks to you, I understood that I didn’t have acne ! Just not a proper skin care And dozens of derma/ cosmetologists didn’t tell me, just were selling some shit to me (( Love you!
all of this is super expensive for my budget but love the video, because of the youtube world everyone has the same products nowadays and even though it's good in terms of safety and resources it kinda kills the fun we used to have just meeting a new brand like "hi product hru"
Absolutely love these long shop with me and watch me try these products videos. Thank you for your dedication! I am as shook as you with the microneedle eye patches. I had literal anxiety when you tried them knowing your eyes are sensitive but dang! What amazing results! The artic fox brand looks amazing too, especially that cucumber tonic! I will have to try at some point!
Look into the Geek&Gorgeous a game. It has the same retinal that Medik8 uses and costs a lot less. It’s very well formulated and in an airless pump too.
This community 🦋 Butterfly appreciates all you and your skin has done in taking a chance in testing products, their claims and most importantly, your choice dupes. Before I buy, I watch your videos and listen.. I am new to this Skin care Beauty world.. confession time.. I was a bar of Soap and Apricot Scrub addict. Surprised I still have a face. Thank you for educating me and literally saving my face.💕😅🦋
I’ve been using them on and off for awhile and they’re awesome BUT if I don’t apply a serum before applying the patch, there’s a weird film left on the under eye skin the next morning. I’ve used the Ordinary caffeine eye serum under them with great results.
@@benconnolly4258 I’m not sure. Skyn iceland recommends you use their serum, but I can’t handle the scent of it so I stick with what works for me. I’m super oily so don’t moisturize on the regular. Maybe check some other reviewers?
@@benconnolly4258 I’d say use what you’ve got but these needles will push product into the skin a bit so maybe be careful on something with a lot of fragrance
You look so stunning sitting ouside unpacking the skincare🦋 I like the HIGH foaming cleanser (I use it on dry skin as my second cleanse, never experienced any stinging on my eyes) and also their moisturizer since a few months. Both don‘t contain CBD but cannabis sativa oil which has no cannabidiol.
The burn burn…the hurt hurt… and the sting Sting….🤣🤣🤣🤣. totally worth it! I love those eyepatches!! Glad you found them!! But they aren’t reusable. Need to get a new pair each time!
Please review the medik8 crystal retinal products PLEASE! There are so few people who have talked about them on RU-vid and I'm so interested to know how they compare to other retinol products
I agree! I love their crystal retinal but finding information about how it compares to other retinal products is hard. Products from brands like osmosis, avene and geek & gorgeous etc.
Hey! In this vlog I noticed some beautiful dishes on your wall! I collect depression glass and vintage /antique china. It was fun seeing some of your beautiful things. ❤️❤️❤️
Cassandra! I have a question/video suggestion. It's about makeup and acne.. There are any ingredients in foundations, for example, that can make our skin break out more? Any tips to help us when we're looking for these types of products (foundation, concealer, primer etc)? Sometimes i don't have access to the best options - either because they're so expensive or not cruelty free, for example, and i would like to have more knowledge to choose more wisely from the options that i have. Thanks!
So. A year after this video was posted, I FINALLY got the eye patches! They were just sitting in my Amazon cart and my husband ordered them for me. I have them on right now. I hope they’ll work for me!!
THANK YOU..I am not the most tech savvy person and I just found where I can go on amazon and all your recommendations are on there for every type of need. This is so easy for me now to get my cruelty free products and know I am getting a GOOD product. Thank you!!!
I’m kind of a new sub, like maybe a few months… I don’t comment a lot but did anyone else feels like her older videos where she is more personal, human and I feel so endulces like if we were other trying out new products??? Also, YÂSS Queen!!!! Looking great!!! I like how you were also using make up. It was something different and nice and stuff. I have oily skin but I’ve noticed that hydrating helps quite a lot. I been using toner/ essence (etc) that are hydrating and it’s been working so well. Girl!!!! Those eye patches!!! I need to try that!
Just ordered the microneedle eye patches Cassandra...I will keep u updated on my results x thank u for testing 4 us all and giving your recommendations on so many products x love Alli xxx
@@houghtonjohn7778 hi John, all dandy here thank u and how r u? X Oh @Cassandra, I loved the microneedle eye patches, defo will repurchase. Love Alli x
Yes! I love videos like this! To discover new products and what they can do for the skin. More of videos like this! I have a lip balm tip! Origins have a lip balm called Drink Up. It is a little pricey but not super pricey and considering that a little goes a long way and it will last for a while (I apply it before bedtime and it last all night), it may even qualify as a bargain. It doesn’t smell that much and the taste is alright. My favourite lip balm! I got to try the eyepatches! ✨💗✨
I would LOVE to see you review any Averr Aglow products! Everything from them seems like it's made of actual magic. AND they're all vegan and cruelty-free (also super important to me)!
Love your videos, I'm 40 years old, and you made me start taking care of my skin. And i feel very happy with my skin now, and myself, because skin care is self care.
Hey our girl! Can you do (or have you already done) a video on what is reactive verses sensitive and it’s meaning? Very confusing 😂 Also I just started adapelene for the first time in about 10 years. Wish me luck! A lot has changed in my skin that time. But you made acne free sound appealing fir scars ❤️ ! 🤟🏻
I think she has only mentioned it in passing, if I remember correctly she herself has reactive skin - mening it gets red/hot when you cleanse it, it visibly reacts to touch etc but fades away quickly, but it's not sensitive cause it is very resilient to even the harshest peels and does not experience dryness, irritation and whatever other bad side effects sensitive skin might. Also sensitized skin is different: sensitivity caused by allergy, overexfoliation, sun burn etc (basically damaged skin barrier).
@@morgianasartre6709 Thank you so much for the explanation ❤️. My skin must be sensitive then. 😂 It will get inflamed all by itself with no products. And have to be so careful not to dry it out in anyway because the bacteria will have a hay day and my immune system seems to pass it by. Too busy attacking something else I supposed lol! That makes sense. You the best.
Hey! Would you possibly be able to do a review of Codex Labs? Specifically the cleansing oil 🤗 “Turned & Learned” but still curious about the brand & some of the essential oils. Also fellow vegan (with acne-prone skin) here & you are my favourite esthy + favourite content-creator & your videos genuinely make me so happy 🥹
cassandra, have you ever struggled with mental health issues? if not, that's fine, but if so, can you share how you became so peppy and joyful again? i used to be, but it's been gone for a few years, and i feel so incapable of bringing it back cuz i just don't care about myself. is it even possible to force yourself to care about something? you're the kind of person i wish i was, so i'm just wondering if you have any advice
I've been using the Gallinée Hydrating Face Cream as a light-textured but hydrating summer daytime moisturizer for my combo/dry skin. I guess acne-prone skin may not tolerate coconut oil in formulations, but this has really helped keep my dry skin hydrated, and it's soothed my psoriasis as well. Big fan of the Medik8 Crystal Retinal as well :))
There are some channels that have reviewed some of their products like cruelty free becky (UK), razia moe (australia), natural cosmetics reviews (poland).
Cassandra, what home microneedle device do you suggest? I am just trying to learn about them more before buying. For instance I found out about Dr. Pen device. But there are so many of them! Do you recommend home microneedle?
Asking about the High Beauty moisturizer… I was under the impression CBD and just “cannabis sativa seed oil” were two completely different ingredients? They don’t call it out as CBD so I’m just asking for clarification, don’t come for me!
This is what I know, hope I’m not wrong: CBD is made of the flowers of the cannabis plant and pretty expensive. Cannabis sativa seed oil is made of hemp seeds and much cheaper. Both plants are from the same species. Both products usually don‘t contain any THC.
Oh.. I was so happy seeing my name and request in the beginning until I realised that I’m not skintellectual. I was told that REVOX was vegan and cruelty free.. and I didn’t fact check what the store staff told me.. well.. let’s start the new adventure on new skincare!
Hi I'm a black girl, my sister is also a black girl, she has been using green dermovate for bleaching her skin for weeks and she thinks that drinking too much water and eating green vegetables will make her avoid the side effects of using dermovate for bleaching her skin 😒 Is that true ?🤔
I have acne prone skin with seborrheic dermatitis and eczema. My skin has been loving CBD. As an esthetician myself I now want to try this CBD brand and see how it feels on my skin. I am currently using glymed cbd products.
At least on Skinstore, none of the High Beauty offerings have CBD in them. Actual CBD will be called out. What is essentially being used is cannabis sativa seed oil, or hemp seed oil. Still a great hydrating and calming oil but no CBD!
I have a question... I was selling sunscreen as a summer job once and they told us not to rub any lotions into your skin, as the skin will absorb it naturally (and with the sunscreen we sold you literally did not have to rub it in, it just got absorbed). But I see you rubbing products in your skin all the time and I'm asking myself, what do you recommend and does what they have taught me make any sense? Thank youuu :)
2 minutes in and I'm sorry I had to pause... and admire your laptop skin. So "nerdy" and pweetty at the same time! Im'ma have to research now if there are some html and CSS/Java cheatsheet version of those. 🤭
Those microneedle eye patches, damn, your undereyes looked fucking amazing! And the willow tree with spinach, I've imagined it and it was hilarious xD EDIT: ok, the algae part was even better 😂
Hi Cassandra, you're awesome! Wondering if you have heard of a brand called "Eelhoe"? I've tried a few serums from them and have thought they were pretty good. Maybe I'm wrong and getting cheap knock off versions, love to hear what you think of this brand.
Hello Cassandra! Can you please try out the brand “topicrem”. I used and kind of like, also I believe they are cruelty free and mostly have fragrance free products.
Just recently found your channel & love watching you & all the info is glorious, thank you 😊. Could you possibly try the brand Medik8 (specially the retinol/retinal) & Paula’s Choice (specially the 2% BHA liquid exfoliant) am looking into both these bands but never heard of them before, reviews are really good but even if you could have a look at them as I know you are busy. Thank you and sending much love ❤️ xx from Jersey Channel Islands-UK
She's not a derm/esty but Gothamista has reviewed Medik8. See her video, what nobody will tell you about paula's choice skincare. She mentions the 2% BHA in that one. Dr Dray has reviewed that one as well (it's in her top 10 PC products video).
Hi Cassandra!! Love your videos , thanks for sharing your knowledge:) When it comes to skincare, I’m kind of a beginner☺️ I started to use Lavido’s products , would love to get your feedback / review on their products (Serum, age away face cream , face soap, Toner)
I cannot find a sunscreen I love. From complete white face to eye burning to grease bucket to pilling. I've purchased 28 sunscreens not in love or even really like any of them. I wear them though.
Hi I don’t know where I can ask you this so you will see it but as you are the only one I mostly trust when it comes to skincare I wanted to know your opinion on DIY 🍺 masks!
Do you also have tips for people with dry sensitive skin. I don't have acne or anything. Can someone give my skincare advice. Because I have eczema on my eyes. So they are very dry. But what can I put on my eyes 👀?
thats happened to my eyes before too! either after using the tatcha eyecream (i know, i had a trail size 🙄) or after using my trentinoin too close to my eyes 😅, I feel like allergy season also triggered it somehow! I really should get a full allergy test from a Dr
Your makeup looks so beautifully done, as always gorgeous @12:00 I was wondering what you think of ZO skincare, ive found them at doctors, i used a couple of their things, were pretty good.. I just started using retinol and I’m loving it and its only been a week.. my skin is smoother even tho things from down under are coming to the surface! I really want to go for laser hair removal again on my face but the retinol.... :(((
