@@darkomiku8902 I am picturing an app you place your order on an app then pick it up so your not ordering at the window. Either that you use amazon to get your order so no-one needs to walk into the store. Really the only way to combat thieves who walk in.

That's actually a solid idea.

Because that hurts sales A LOT. So many people enter a store and buy on a whim. Can't do that when you have to know what to get beforehand.

The walgreen in my city is also just about to do that because all the food, and drinks are behind glass winfows, and all that's left is to put a lock key so no one can get it without the stores permission.

I worked at Walgreens, when it was time to checkout there were no employees to be found. They and many other retailers don’t hire as much workers they need and they definitely cut their hours. Yea I remember working in retail and doing 5 jobs instead of the one I was hired for.

@@mmz12 I don't think so. I think what is happening is happening because it can and people can make money without answering to a time clock or any authority; and the amount they make is completely dependent on how often they want to go out and collect product.

@@tikifreaky5204 Shoplifting crime wave is over. Target is open, in fact NYC is doing really well in terms of business. Crime on the subway has been and will always be a problem. The subway system is vast and there are so many people on it, there will always be a level of crime.
