it’s a cheap store, the most expensive thing there is probably 250$ and is horrifically flashy, which isn’t his style. Adam gets paid way more than that from Michael so there rlly isn’t any reason for him to grab something other than what he would actually use

It's nothing todo with respect, I'm sure they greatly respect Micheal and his business but still a good sales man still wouldnt have said no. Plus he was clearly filming a video so even if he got a couple of flash watches to show the camera, I'm sure they would have still been pleased even if micheal had seen them before

a good salesman would have had something new to show, or would have shown something simply for the fact that the camera and audience was there that is clear, but to lie to a regular highly valued customer about something as simple as having any new inventory is fruitless especially if- as undoubtedly would have been the case- Michael followed it up with something very Michael-like indeed by asking "oh really!? show me." then what!? 'uhh... ummm... well... uh... how about this' when internally the dialogue of lie regretting and remembering would commence. but i get that Michael was trying to help, so... it would have been acceptable to everybody including the audience.

@Trev1183 yeah, but the camera prolly caused him to freeze up a bit, and it puts Michael in an even more superior position in the exchange. i'm sure their off camera relationship is great, you know, when it's just them. the fact that he said no is a respectable cost of retaining a long-term valued customer.
