The restaurant at 0:44 called "The Daisy" is where OJ Simpson met his wife Nicole Brown Simpson in 1978. She was a server at the restaurant.

I think this shop is featured in the Columbo episode A Friend Indeed from 1974. Columbo parks outside and crosses to go into Van Cleef and Arkles. Its nice to see 70's LA.

And I thought that I was the only one who looked up filming locations from old shows like Columbo and The Rockford Files to see how the terrain had changed! I'm watching that episode now and googled the store name and came across this youtube video. Super Cool.

I like the Mercedea 350SL it looked very Modern in the 70's. Also I love the 70's Rolls Corniche the USA Rag top version it always looked so in place in Hollywood or LA and modern with the USA black bumpers/fenders

Based on the 60's this main drag looks marvelous -the tall man walking by shows the current behavior pursuing the future. Too bad, some people took bad medicine & bad repertoire. But, wardrobe looks pleasant & cars look fashionable what else can I say?

On Columbo's A Friend In Deed episode - Columbo parks his car right outside that Aquascutum shop 2/3rds into the Episode after the Police Commissioner tells him to drop chasing his 'hunch'. His car pulls up right outside that shop and it looks exactly like this clip - including all the stores around it at 0:15

0:54 - $4.99 in 1977 is $23.90 in 2022 - mind you for assorted cheeses and fresh fruits. Still expensive af for simple things.

That looks likes a French cafe--in Rodeo drive. The difference is that the quality and portion is different, and we now pay more for a grocery store bill for the same thing. Eating out was always pricier no matter what decade, but now groceries are high.
