Our local thrift store recently had a $0.25 summer clothing sale and 50% off sidewalk sale so I got like five shirts, a pair of pants and my son got a Nerf gun that holds 10 bullets all for $3! SCORE!!!

Hey I sometimes thought about doing the same but then I thought, what about people who don't usually have the money to buy new clothes? They might can for 1 dollar but not more. I mean maybe we would be taking the few things that could please them and then selling it to people who can afford more expensive things just to make more money and idk
@@hummingbird3032 the thing is there is an abundance of clothing in the world, many places near me do this same idea, and a couple people reselling doesn’t hurt the people who need the clothes. There is still so much left at those sales by the end. Same with thrifting, 62.7% of clothes in a thrift store are thrown in a landfill. There is plenty to go around.
Imagine spending 15$ or 25$ on a top that was thrown on the ground for hours!! Bot to mention that is deception for the people buying from her posh acc thinking it might be worn a few times not from a thrift store. I’ve always loved Amber but this NOT A BUSINESSWOMAN MOVE.

Nooo! Dont make the Gunna Sax dress short! It look's so stunning on you! You could always buy a none vintage black lace dress to make short. That's vintage girl, there's hardly any resale value on altered vintage pieces and I guarantee you not many still exist on the retail side. Love you and your videos so much! Pro thrifter trick; (esp if it's summer or u live in a hot area)...always put ur thrift clothes in a hot car truck until laundry time (if any pests are accidentally in them the heat will help kill them and not let them in your house)

When you have that gunny sax dress shortened you could use the bottom part you cut off to made another skirt layer or use the trim to make straps that drape off the shoulder. Possibly make the sleeves detachable so you can wear it both ways. Ugh it would be so gorgeous!!!

It’s not scamming, it’s just business. Guaranteed most of the other shoppers were there to do the same. It’s common place. In the UK we have a Boxing Day next sale - majority of people there at 5am are eBay sellers/ market sellers etc who buy everything while it’s super cheap and then sell it for a profit.

I once volunteered at a thrift store, we use to sell a paper bag for five bucks and customers filled it up with clothing except Jean's and dresses. That's how we got rid of old inventory to make room for new inventory.
