I highly encourage people to be a little extra too. I mean I do full makeup for my workdays plus plan my outfit so there's no malfunctions and it's a "even if I have a bad day I still feel cute as heck" thing.

Im working on makeup skills but do like alot i do. When it comes to outfits if its something i planned beforehand i try to plan my look. Otherwise i pick what im feeling in the moment

She got me back into it :) I’d started feeling so self conscious wearing more extra things out and having people thinking I’ve got big plans and I’m like I’m just going to the pharmacy 😹 so I super resonate with her in the Trader Joe’s jokes and it made me feel more confident that yeah I can wear whatever I want if it makes me happy I don’t need a special occasion. And like coffeegirl said if I have a bad day at least I still feel cute :)

@@wil1741 Depending on your size, it can be near impossible to find something at a typical lingerie/bra store. Big box retailers aren’t super inclusive in their sizes.

@@wil1741 Inclusivity. It's hard to find pretty/sexy plus size lingerie, and if you do find them they're incredibly expensive. If your waist to bust ratio is more drastic than the typical person then it can be basically impossible to find. If you have a smaller bust then nothing seems to fit correctly, when you do find something it's rarely the pretty type of lingerie. The clothing industry lacks inclusivity just in general, I'm not even into lingerie but I hear the opinions of many other people about all types of clothing and it really does cater to one specific audience.

The thing is that they don't allow you to..there is even a sign on the mirror in the Victorias Secret store, and I'm sure that there is a sign at the other stores too, that you shouldn't try on the panties only the bras. I also can't even understand how someone would feel comfortable trying those things on at a store... =/

I wouldn’t buy anything without trying it on. These things can’t be returned (thankfully) so you need to try them on first or you’d be wasting a lot of money on things that don’t fit/aren’t comfortable/you don’t like, etc. Anyone with common sense will wear their own panties underneath while trying on a new one. Or it wouldn’t be hygienic. I’m sure there are signs in the store that even tell you to do it like that (in case you don’t realize it yourself 😅) It’s the same with swimsuits. Would you buy one without trying it on? No, you just wear panties while trying it on. Maybe it’s still unhygienic but I can’t afford to buy all these things without trying them on first (maybe you can return them in the US, but stores in my country usually don’t let you)

the victoria’s secret i go to gives you a disposable thong, after you try on your items WITH THEM ON you just throw it in a trash can they have outside of the dressing rooms.

I'll always ask for new ones for the items I really like from the storage if the managers can find one! And obviously need to try it on with panties or a physical barrier of some sorts.
