Nice pond bro, but I have a suggestion add more plants and tie a cloth on the over flow so that it will not disturbed your sand and also give a better flow in your pond.

Seeing the future saltwater pond, and noticing the "bald spot", I may have a suggestion to resolve that issue. Maybe build a structure/driftwood/cinder blocks (2 of them right against each other like a dual tunnel) under where the water comes out. This would deflect the water in/on the structure/whatever which would allow the sand to be "brushed" around it all. It would give it a cleaner look. Just a suggestion.

Hey Chris, you gotta remove the plants from the pots and remove the rock wool around it. That's the mushy stuff, this keeps the plant from growing and the roots from getting longer. You gotta remove em and plant them into the sand. That's why fish guy jacks plants in his old tank didn't grow very well. Always remove em from the pots bro. Love the content for real. Here's a small guide from the internet for you: "The rock wool itself does not contain any nutrients, but it is known to hold on to the nutrients in the water, which is heavily fertilized in the nursery. For this reason, the rock wool around the plant roots needs to be removed as completely as possible before the plant is put into the aquarium." Hope this helps, make sure to always take it off.

I wanted to say, I just came home from fishing with my cast net and my dad, where I caught a MASSIVE plako and a karpie, AS WELL AS A BABY TURTLE all in my cast net(the plako was like 10 or 11 inches). I released the plako and the karpie but kept the turtle and put him in my outdoor pond. Just after I finished setting him up, it started raining and I started watching your vid wile it was raining at my place and at yours.
