I’m so glad to see you guys share the extra detail from start to finish. I had no idea I could cut this stuff. Looking forward to the machine work!

Nathan, that was our intent with this video … to show you something you could make with a ShopSabre CNC and remove the mystery … wait until you see part 2!

Awesome! I got a machine quoted a year or two ago and specifically asked about what was needed to cut seadek. At that time they didn't seem to know about it, so it's nice they've put some info up!

Thank you, we are constantly learning and trying new stuff. There is not a whole lot of educational content out there on SeaDek so we wanted to learn how to cut it! Stay tuned for part 2!

@@shopsabre most definitely! Last quote was a bit out of my range, much like all wish lists i suppose. I think itd be perfect if y'all had a 5x10 RC with Vacuum and ATC. I find the functionality of those options very useful. At my day job we have a pair of Weekes and a Biesse Rover 5axis, but I'm not in the market for such a magnitude of hardware. I think a feature matrix between you, a camaster, laguna, cnc factory, industrial cnc, and even phantom would be a good start to identify best value for a "startup" type business.

@@gbalias Give our team a shout, they are here to help you go through your project. Many of the companies you mentioned in your statement above are Import products so we take a lot of pride in the USA fact of our equipment, quality, and support. Ultimately, our job is not to not sell their machines, it's to show you what we do and why we do it. The facts should sell our product so our CNC consultants are happy to go through a comparison as you require but we just don't feel the need to do marketing in that method. ShopSabre motto is "Buy your Second Machine the first time" We preach this because there will always be cheaper products but finding a higher quality or better supported product is much harder to do for a better value than ShopSabre. Give us a call!

it really works, I do it in a much faster way! I take a well-centered photo and redraw it in Corel Draw, adjust the dimensions If need, and it's ready to cut!

Thank you, we do not have any specific floor plan or information on floor plans available. The vast majority of our clients are scanning for the application.

How you made the final round ball go both ways. Did you make a double vector with different start point . Because Vectric when you are ON doesn't matter if is Con or Climb. By the way nice Video Format

I'm a Mach360 and VCarve user but unfortunately not yet a ShopSabre user...yet. This digitizing feature is amazing and i could see this being used for multiple customer related products. How would one execute this digitizing methodology without Shopsabre? Are there any pieces of software out there that i can use until we can grow into Shopsabre?

If you wanted to do a hexagon or some intricate pattern. Using array with no tool clearance so you have a “single line” ends up leaving lots of overlapping lines. Do you have a suggestion on a easier way then deleting each of those overlapping lines 1 at a time.
@shopsabre
@shopsabre Год назад
Sorry not sure we understand what you mean, our video shows how to program to avoid multiple lines. However, if you own a ShopSabre our support can help trouble shoot concerns with unusual programming.

Great video. I’m curious how you nested the parts so the grain of the Eva foam and the teak lines lined up from piece to piece.

Pretty cool stuff guys. I have a project that I want to trace like you did. What software did you use for tracing? Thanks for the informative videos as always. My next machine!
@shopsabre

We used the ShopSabre control for the tracing, our controller has a digitizing feature built in and then we brought the template to life using vcarve pro

Is this 24,000 RPM and 400in/min feed rate the same for ALL the bits used during the process? cutting/polishing etc

Hi, great video thanks really useful. We are using Vcarve Pro but as we are asking it to cut on the line it won't reverse the cut for the clean up. We choose climb then conventional in 2 separate tool paths but both travel in the same direction. What's the trick to this? TIA
@shopsabre
@shopsabre Год назад
hmmm I don't have a trick - just clicked the button for climb, then conventional in the next and it definitely travels in different directions. Depending your version, you may need to update as you may have found a bug in Vectric? I am on Version 11.016 so perhaps that might be a version difference?
@shopsabre
@shopsabre Год назад
Further development - We updated our VCarve just now and found that the bug appears to be in the newest version. We have reached out to Vectric Support to address this and hopefully a fix will be coming soon from their team

Thanks that's been driving me nuts for half a day! We are running V11.014 which it is happening in. Tried to update their 11.504 patch but it scans my computer and says it can't find a V11 on my computer which doesn't help. Thanks for your input though, hopefully a patch will be available soon....and I can update with it too!

Would a cross hair laser with a small camera under the cutter head be ideal for digitizing the shapes?
@shopsabre

Depends how it would be aligned and how the offset would be accounted for. No reason it wouldn’t work though if done correctly

How do you get the information from the CNC into Vcarve to digitize? I didn't know we could capture information and send it to vcarve. I have VCarve Pro and a 408. Is their a digitizer program or am I just unfamiliar with the process?

We sell a digitizing touch probe option or you can manually trace using the machine controller and xyz motion and our manual digitization feature. Contact our team and they can help you
