Great to see so many young guys out fishing and enjoying the outdoors. I try and promote fishing to young people as it's a great education and a good past time. Also great that you raised money for underprivileged kids doing it. I wish we had more of this in Australia. My hat off to you. Andy
Really cool that you organize that for the kids. Pretty impressive that your doing this at your age, only a few years older than them. Much respect. Like others are saying wish we had this around here
Those Deeper fish finders are really cool! Innovation in the fishing world is crazy! Raising the bar a bunch! Great video, great cause! Thanks for posting!
Jeff k Thanks Jeff! I do all age limits, this one just happen to age specific. I've held I think three other events in the past that had no requirement. Hopefully I'll find some time this year to hold a few opens for all anglers!
out of all your videos I have watched from going against Flair or walking to backwood ponds this was one of my favorites keep doing these cause its nice to see guys and girls fishing and hoping one day you might see them on FLW or just there on RU-vid channel
Hey man I live in Illinois about 1 hour away from Chicago. Get ahold of me next time you have a tournament would like to get in on it. Great videos man
Jon this is super sweet I know this is an old video but thanks for donating that money to Make A Wish! I got to Make A Wish and I chose to ask for a fishing boat and I got one!! Thanks for helping make my DREAM come true!
I live in Illinois and I fish for bass all the time I'm limited to the shore as of right now and I am having issues with feeling the fish bite I use alot of soft plastics any tips
hey john if you ever come out to fish lake simcoe or little lake in barrie id love to meet up with you, ive been fishing in barrie since I was 5 and I'm 15 now but i still cant catch ANY bass from the shore where i live i would love it if you could try fishing down here and maybe show me tips maybe we could also fish together, i don't even really want to fish with you because your popular i only really want to fish with you because you could help my fishing out so much as there are no online videos on bass fishing from shore in my area, ive even tried forums and nothing...
The problem with putting it under the mouth is that the scale disrupts the gills and can cause some damage. The top of the bass's mouth is the thinnest part of their mouth and poking it through there won't cause any damage to the fish.
Shepard 12 Lava mob I know I'm not a expert, but from my experience on dirty lakes I've had luck with white or black/blue chatterbaits or white/chartreuse spinnerbaits
I live in Indiana and when I see people using 22 pound test line it's funny, I need/use 50-100 pound on my "big pole/rod" catch bass, bluegills, cats, dog fish, haha I need bigger heavier line
I don't get why someone would use anything bigger then 25 for freshwater unless you are going for big cats or big carp and for the people who say you need 40-80 # test for frog fishing don't realize that they only need 20-25 # test for the thickest of cover. I use 30 pound braid only because i use my 3 rods for saltwater and freshwater fishing if i had a pole just for freshwater i would be fishing for bass, bluegills, cats, and carp i would use 8-15 # test depending on what im fishing for and type of structure
GoPro Bass Fishing Either way it's not good for the fish. Having studying aquatic ecology in college for a little over a year now the number one thing we are instructed NOT to do is make any sort of contact with the fishes gills. You puncture a hole when setting hook and I try to fill in the hole that has already been made. Trust me I don't like doing.
You don't slide it up the gillplate lol that's even worse. Putting a hole in it is only running the risk of the hole getting infected.. not saying you should do it. If you need to do it use a lip gripper style scale. Or a weigh bag.
