The scene about the lily's and the pond gives a whole new meaning after the ending of the movie and it's a clever way to hint at a twist that's yet to be revealed at that point.
@@nemesis5271 I also need to look back on the 3rd Shrek movie. Apparantly, when the queen bashes a wall with her head, she gets dizzy and starts singing 'these are a few of my favorite things' from Sound of Music.
Fun fact: Julie Andrews actually played the part of two queens in one year. 1. Shrek 2 2. The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (well, until Mia followed in her footsteps as Queen of Genovia)
Shrek 2 is one of the most, no to say the best, but is yeah is the best animated movie ever... every line, every situation is amazing and I can't get tired of watching it over and over again and I loooove to hear Julie Andrews' playing Fiona's Mother
Yes! Love it! Great pairing! 😃 I must admit it’s really unusual for VO artists to be recording their lines together in the same room though. I wonder why that happened. 🤷♀️ Normally they’d be alone or in separate booths. Doesn’t matter though. It made it easier for them.
This movie was excellent. The discrimination against ogres was meant to represent discrimination against interracial couples. It was very clever in drawing that parallel.
I dont think it was anything to with race, it's not that specific. Shrek 1 was about accepting yourself no matter what and shrek 2 builds on that whilst adding an amazing adventure too
how can it represent discrimination against interracial couples if they're both ogres (yeah yeah, of course she was a human, but it would be interracial stuff if she remained human)
Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas in one single film? Then accompanied by John Cleese ( The classic Phyton ) and Julie Andrews? AWESOME FILM!
i love julie so much such a beautiful soul she is her voice is just something else she was fabulous as mary and maria i agree with dyke van dyke emily blunt was good but no one can replace julie andrews ❤
The reason why King Harold couldn’t accept Shrek marriage to Fiona as ogre, is only because he’s afraid that the fairy godmother would take away his happily ever-after as he was a Frog.
That’s NOT funny! I read you comment and panicked. I googled and nope, John Cleese is still alive and kickin’! (I also learned he’s younger than Andrews.)
this kind of reminds me of the scene of George of the jungle when ursala,s parents know It,s her choice dad is just happy but mom however is just not to happy about it for example like king Harold said in shrek 2 Fiona has married a monster and his wife said stop such being a drama king but the parents of ursala,s mom is like our daughter has married an animal and her husband is like oh stop being such a drama queen
Julie Andrew Queen Lillian, And John Cleese King Harold has been Married for 20 years of bringing of character Fiona Parent's Cameron Diaz, Married Shrek Mike Myers.
