Hi, had to comment... 35 year nail veteran, salon owner. Have closed myself down until this pandemic thing is over. But omg! This jogs my memory! Ladies if you can find a nail tech willing to work with this type of situation, show your appreciation! Thank god theres a fix for everything in the beauty industry but this is difficult work! I personally use the same air sculpting technique on this type of nail, but begin client with a short squoval for ultimate stability. I also suggest a red polish to heighten awareness of fingers-in-mouth. 3 months of regular visits, habit is usually broken. Great work!👍

@@lovemorehateless3652 I don't know for Ms. Rose, but I would think you can "see" your nails reaching your mouth and stop, if they were nude maybe you would accidently bite them of(I know a girl who can't stop biting her nails, even with extensions).Think of the red like those warning/alert signs, they are in bright colours, so people can see them, even in their peripheral vision. If this isn't what Ms. Rose meant I'll be very embarassed

You can look at some nail salons in your country. Some of them can have a programme specifically for nail biters.

This is the perfect length of nails for a nail biter and also a chef. She will not have to get used to anything new. I love how natural they look too, despite them being acrylic.

That’s an amazing transformation!! I was a long time nail biter. My nails looked just like hers. It’s been many years and I wear them a bit longer than this for my natural nails and a bit longer for extensions. You can correct this behavior but it’s work. Her hands look so pretty and such a neat tidy length for a chef. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in this industry!!♥️♥️♥️🥰

That is just incredible. It's amazing the different the nail can change the whole look of the fingers. It's basically a "makeover" for the whole hand! AND its immediate gratification! I think this whole manicure is PERFECTION- from the handling of the "problematic" cuticles to the shape and the color. It's just amazing. I learn so much from every one of your videos! I also have a bad habit of biting my nails and have even been denied by nail techs to get them done because they are not able to work with them! My self confidence is so bad because of it and try to hide my hands ..... you are truly amazing for working on these types of nails!

That was a major transformation. Its very difficult creating that free edge out of nothing and you did it perfectly. Just adding the glossy top coat was a perfect choice💕💅🏻

this is just right with real expectation. I have faced few clients who have trapezoidal shape,like triangular,destroyed cuticles,heavy bitten nails , even skin inflamation. i learned that for clients with bitten nails, maximum of lengh is double the size of nail bed, and that optimal lengh is size of nail bed. But clients with such a hard conditioned nails often want too long nails, with too much details, or expect me to be a magician and to create nails like they have a perfect nail bed. its hard to explain that something is not possible at this time, and that maybe it will never be possible. you choose the best solution for clients like this. i dont know why, but having a modest, short nails with profesional finnish, is always better than going way into too much color, too long, it just looks like children play.

I'm so glad you shared this technique. I had to fix my husband's badly bitten, beat up, all around ugly thumbnail and I used the building on air technique you showed to give it a normal length with acrylic! It's a little more pink than his other nails at the tip, but he wears gloves all day so the important things were that his nailbed was protected from more damage and that he didn't have a jagged edge on that nail.

Lovely! I work with a lot of nail biters and this is also the shape i recommend for them. I am a gel tech, but i have found that the way you extended the free edge without a form, works well with polygel also.😊

So wonderful to see the transformation, I did a very bad bitten nails , with forms 😢wasn’t taught another way. Did my best but I’ve come along way too better lol 😂
