I really enjoyed this video. Any short film that combines a real-life scenario, an ironic ending, and pre-COVID-reality humour deserves a comment, thumbs up, and 5-star rating!
@@IzajResGS Doesn't this video seem all too real and relevant today, compared to how it might have felt watching it years ago? That was the point of my comment
@@IzajResGS what are you talking about? How many minor or major flus affected people and governments globally? Whether you agree with its seriousness, things changed dramatically and it's not quite over yet.
I love this short. Makes you appreciate life and reminds you that the grass is not always greenER. But the look on his face when big boy entered the elevator... lol
In spite of myself, I really empathize. I've fled from overcrowded elevators ( politely muttering "my floor" ) and many times stopped breathing for unconscionably long times to avoid the coughs and sneezes. Well done and very accurate ...
That camera angle at 1:10 was masterful.. captured just how tight it was in there... as soon as I saw that phone rise out of the abyss I sensed it was math time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s so hilarious. A truly pure comedy that don’t need scripts or talks. I almost cried when he took out his calculator and assume the people weight. There is no offense to the obesity people or swine flu patients, the film just give us laughs from basic things in our life. I also love the music and the mise en scene, all components in the film synthesize very well. Thanks for the film, peace.
I watched a bunch today and were mostly lovely stories... this Elevator is probably most depressing of them, hehe...iI also use a skip if is going that way.... reccomend...
Great short film! I always love seeing what RU-vid had to offer in the early years... I miss it. Freaking LOVE the calculator. He knew what he had to do lol.
I didn't have any expectations and sat to watch freshly. Amazing humorous short film. I couldn't control my laughter when he opens his calculator, looks at that woman and types 245...Epic shot...thanks for making this day have a great ending!
Fun fact! The weight limit on an elevator is often times 4x less than what it really is. This is done because they want to scare people away who have extremely heavy items. An elevator can hold the weight of every human that can fit in it’s entire cubic space and be fine. It has a problem when your carrying in a supermassive tank of water or huge amounts of metal or extremely heavy furniture.
Fun fact the person writing this comment could be a troll pretending the weight is four times as much so that people will overexceed the weight and then crash the elevator
@@rasheedbengdon8163 which is why you always need to cross-referemce before taking something as absolute fact. Good call! Though, an elevator that size (and considering the time this was made), the machine drive would still be able to hold all of them safely. The weight limit could range from 2000-4000 lbs if they're using proper counterweights. PikaBlu is technically correct
My jaw dropped at the same time his dropped 😂 like-“no way! This ain’t happening’! I gotta get outta here!” Me yelling at the guy like-“tell them people to get out your way and move before you stuck in there!” 🤣 These people ain’t notice the elevator drop??😂
I know your thinking "take the stairs". I've done exactly this after seeing the people in the elevator. So I fly up the stairs 5 floors up only to find it locked. Go back downstairs the way I came and it too is locked. Talk about a F'd up hospital that had this type of arrangement. The security camera picked me up and they came to the rescue. LoL.
My mind was screaming "social distancing" when he was in the first elevator and when they started coughing in the second elevator i could feel their cough through the screen and had to wash my hands after the video was over😷
I´m going to use this short in my ESL C1 class for a discussion on COMMUNICATION. Based on the video, "The Elevator" appears to convey a message about communication, particularly nonverbal communication, and the importance of being aware of one's surroundings and making informed decisions based on observation.
THAT was good! I've been looking for a long while at other videos for inspiration for a series that I'm doing that kind of has some subtle humor in it, but nothing NEAR the calibur of this film.. Very good stuff, guys. Keep it up! :)
