i'm so glad that when tiktok became popular i never decided to get it i really just dodged a bullet there (also i found some addon to chrome that removes youtube shorts from my youtube page entirely so that's dope)

I agree with your point that short form content doesn't foster a true following or permanent audience due to a lack of real material being in the videos. The only reason Vine worked so well was because it was just a conglomeration of funny, short videos that were made with a lot of effort by the creators to just be funny. Everyone remebers the vines, not because they were informational or left us with something to think about, they were just genuinely funny. Something that short-form media today severely lacks.

Another thing that's bad about Tiktok is the dumb "Challenges" That are so bad it can be fatal.

I love short form slop, please feed me more. I need more family guy south park funny moments to really grind away my time in this mortal realm. Random people doing the same ‘dance’ sustains my lifeblood. I love when teenagers who need a parental figure think they are cool for pretending to be shadow people. I need more children pretending to be spies, then having their comments turned off because they got doxxed. Another issue is the trends. More specifically, the ones that hurt. Hurling a ladder in the air and letting gravity hospitalize you does not seem like the greatest idea. Despite common sense, folk still do this for views. It hurts my brain whenever one of these pops up.

Me who got forced by my ex to download tiktok and got banned day 1 in the first hour. That made me hate that trashbag even more...
