short hike | good for the soul 

We had just enough time for a short hike up to see the cliff walls at North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Natural Area. We also brought along a tasty lunch to enjoy while we soaked up the views of the gorge. You can hike as little or as much as you want here! It's just about a mile and a half up to the beginning of the cliff walls, and a waterfall. After a wonderful lunch in the sunshine, we followed the trail along the cliff walls for about a mile before we turned around. This hike is GORGEOUS - cliff walls on one side and beautiful view of the gorge on the other.
