In the first unit, the Olympus one you scrapped out had a small hard drive you missed it is in a silver case screwed to a metal plate and it is sitting by the front USBS and on the second unit, you scrapped the so-called DVD is a BLU-RAY Player and not a DVD player or CD player

Medical powersupplies are usually extra insulated to be extra safe. Especially if devices have direct contact with the patient.

Love the feathery supervisor! BTW @Mike the Scavenger just rescued a half-working OSBORNE portable (by the standard of the day) PC. 5.25 dual floppy boot no less. Meanwhile I'm just praying to find the power/internet here staying on through this tropical storm.

i think ive told you this before, but at 13:49 , those arnt lcd displays, they are vfd displays, they can be more valuable in some cases (especially the weird/strange and the big looking ones) and you can sell interesting ones on ebay

Anything used medical supply there be a PC or just power supply has to have shielding on it because gas is used in hospital even a small spark could cause a very catastrophic situation. A lot of it is just extra shielding for certification

Shielding probably on the power supply, back when I worked at a Dodge dealership 20 years ago we sold Jeep Cherokee’s to the US Department of Environmental Resources they had all kinds of special Radio and magnetic interference shielding they had on everything in the car for use near huge Radio Telescopes

Good video but the title is a little broad. The devices you scrapped are not a very good representation of the electronics in typical devices. I have been working on medical equipment for 20 years and can count on one hand how many times I’ve seen a “normal” motherboard like those devices have. If you can try to make another but with a defib, patient monitor, or whatever you can get.
