1993 Toyota Camry 345,000 miles. still on the original clutch ,fuel pump, starter motor, engine Toyota made an excellent vehicle. I'm the Original owner. plan to keep it until the paint falls off
+John Willem didnt you hear? toyota recalled all '93 camrys because toyota wanted to tell people to move on, the ceo even said there is really no point in owning a car for 22 years
@ 3:44 *GASPS* That's the cleanest 5SFE I've ever seen!!! I just bought a 94 with a 1MZFE V6 just as clean as this 4cyl. I still don't believe I own it, it hasn't hit me yet. It is my third one of these Gen 3 Camrys, but it's my first V6 and first one with a moonroof. In mint condition too. Excellent engineering, such great cars.
One of the best cars ever made! Always loved this generation of Camry's. I drive a 2015 Camry XSE V6. Love it! It's funny cause the car in this video gets the same fuel economy as my car does, but my car has 138 more horsepower. Man times have changed!
Camrys and Corollas from that generation are still a dime a dozen. They run forever. My best friend has a '94 V6 and it's a great car. Practically bulletproof.
Great find, Kyle! Seeing an older generation in this shape now-a-days is very rare. As I said before, I have a used 2005 Toyota Highlander, and it is in very good condition. It runs just like new! You just can't beat Toyota quality!
I have a 1993 Toyota Camry just like this one except mine is in pretty rough shape, the sun is burning the paint off, but it still keeps on running with 215,000 miles on it.
I drove a 93 v6 3.0L toyota camry back in the day, and it worked really well when it works.... Luckily I did not have to pay for the repairs and maintenance, it is definitely one of the most comfortable car i have ever driven or ride in, thick american feeling definitely, unlike the following camry, but after all, toyota camry is one of the best family sedan in the world, it is economical, comfortable, nothing fancy.
hi kyle, would just like to say i love your videos, you really put in alot of effort and time to satisfy us, and you succeed perfectly, when im bored or upset over something i always watch your videos and feel better since i love cars, and i'm learning more from your videos, i actually hope i get to meet you someday and we can look at cars, keep rocking those cars bro
I have a 1993 Camry Le and it's getting a little worn down from 21 years of use. But it still works great and I use it everyday. Soon I will have to give it up and get a newer one but I am a little hesitant to get a newer one because I have heard that the 2003 on Camrys are not as good. I would buy a mint condition 93 Camry in a heart beat. A mint Camry would last another 20 years!
The 07-09 Camrys would be the ones to stay away from. My mom had a 2012 and put 120,000 miles on it and traded it in a couple months ago for another one.
I ended up getting a newer Camry of sorts after all, I got a 2000 Lexus Es300 which is heavily based on the Camry, it's also called the Toyota Windom in Japan. It's a very nice car. But I have heard that you have to be careful with it because the engines have an oil sludge problem. Never had heard anything like that about my older Camry. Sold it and it's still on the road now, it had 172,155 miles on it when I sold it.
05-2010 camrys are famous for extremely brutal and excessive oil consumption, an issue Toyota denies. make no mistake, dealerships and mechanics and car companies will outright lie about things they know are issues, you have to play around and evade their tricks and lies. if you want a good place to start with on getting the right and reliable car, go to carcomplaints website, good place to know the reliable good-to-get cars.
I would avoid 07-09 Camry's they burn oil as read not sure about the 02-06 Camry's or newer ones are better but don't buy a 07-09 Camry have engine problems with oil consumption.
@@issavibez394, Agreed. And here I am replying to a comment on a reply I made on a RU-vid video I watched 11 years ago. Now I have to go back and watch the video again to get some context. 🤣
Hmm that's interesting. Pretty darn good for the mileage you have on yours too. It really depends on how often you wash the car, especially in the winter when the salt is on the roads. I always use the warmer winter days to my advantage to prolong the life on my car's underside and paint. I live in Pennsylvania and I see a lot of older Camrys and Corollas with rust on the bodies. I know the trucks of that time were pretty prone to it but it really depends on how well you take care of it.
Yeah those tend to be the real week spots and they usually start rusting first. Winters around here are a real nightmare, I wish I was more in the south where there's a lot more rust free cars!
I'm from australia and my dad had one of these it was a 1996 toyota vienta v6 intruige green with spoiler and alloys shekard seat belting air con and ect cassette player radio and ect it was a luxiourious car
Nice camry. Its very hard to find one in this condition. Most of the camry's i find here in california are either not maintained well mechanically and cosmetically or have over 200k
the 1991-1996 (Japan, U.S.) 1993-1997 (Australia) Toyota Camry was assembled in Altona, Victoria, Australia (1994-1997) Georgetown, Kentucky Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (1993-1994) Toyota City, Japan
Haha 78,000 miles...my uncle has a 1994 Camery, with almost 300,000 miles...drove it from Fairbanks, Alaska to Wilmington, North Carolina, back in 2001. It's pretty beaten up. and still runs!
I bought a 96 becaus I needed a car for work and my truck was to much of a project vehicle, I went into it not carring about the XV10, only with the knowledge that they last a while and are dead simple to work on, I bought the car for $1000 on Craigslist and put about $500 in it and did all the labor myself. if you take care of these cars a don't neglect them theye will run forever, long live the XV10
Perfect enough to plan to completely rebuild brand new for a few thousand and know it will run another 30 years or better... Still runs strong until then!
When I was younger my grandparents had a 94 the engine had a small oil leak but other than that the engine was fine… the transmission on the other hand… it went out twice the second time they got rid of it had like 150,000 mi was just their beater car
very nice camry; it looks as good as my 2002. Maybe even better since I have to always park it outside! It also looks to be rust-free, so it must be a southern car. Winters in the north SUCK and its very difficult to find a 1993 in this good condition up here. Anyway, I hope you can review the '02 Infiniti I35 that they got there; I noticed that there aren't a whole lot of Infinitis on your channel.
Toyota still uses the exact same cruise control thing on the steering wheel to this day, i know this because I drive brand new Corolla's for work and they have the exact same thing
when its been raining and if you lift the boot the water poors in lol You have to give the boot lid an up and down shake first. I bet the car aerial is broken. I have the 1993 Vienta V6 Ultima version, done 143,000 km
My momma has a 1998 Toyota Corolla Le...has almost 160,000 miles and still runs like it first rolled of the lot...My uncle has the same kind but has almost 40,000 miles and doesn't run and sound as good as mom's. :D
Not a very eye popping car for sure but these are very reliable. Very nice shape for the age too. The bodies on these are well built but it's pretty uncommon to see a Toyota that's 19 years old in this good of shape since they are so prone to rusting out. That seems to be very common with Toyota in general unless you baby the body with constantly washing and waxing it. This Camry will go many more miles for sure and would make a good first car for anyone.
@DontBeSuchAHolyFool Yeah! Nothing can compare to the size of that tank of a car! GM really needs to bring back the B-Body sedans and the wagons! I have a feeling they'd be a hit. The sedans are my favorite but I'd get a wagon over a minivan any day! However, my family has owned a few Chrysler vans for years and they've been great to us so I'll always have a place for one of them. Great vans.
Toyota don't and Hondas nun forever my dad has a 99 corrola has close to 200k miles on it the only thing he changed was shocks cause the car kept on banging the ground on bumpy roads. I live in Canada has really rough winters
@Jakeman21642 I've talked to many people that say that they'd prefer a Toyota over a BMW solely because of the reliability. Which is incredibly stupid if you ask me.
