Short Takes: 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T Spyder (Start Up, Engine, Tour)

In continuation of my "Short Takes" video series at All City Auto, I give a tour of a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T Spyder. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Because it's just immature. Want a manual? Buy a manual, but don't be picky because an automatic is in the video.

manual isnt small enough to have someone be "picky" about it. something picky would be a missing badge since its not really important while transmissions are

I think the styling from the 1997-1999 eclipse is most fancy and fluid/aerodynamic looking. My favorite year, in the Barcelona red pearl, sex..

+Steven “The Kuj” Kujala Real engines are supercharged, not turbocharged. Twincharged if you want serious power. 4 bangers are kind of like having a small wang that moves fast. It's still a failure. my mostly stock 96 caddy destroys these cars on the road.

City homestead on a straight maybe but turbo and superchargers perform differently and have different applications. I suggest you learn more before starting arguments.

@royalxchaos9 Overdrive is the highest gear in the transmission its used like in highway driving and keeps the engine at lower rpm's. I think it allows better fuel efficiency or something like that

That car actually has 195HP. The Spyders were slightly detuned in the automatic versions.

Not according to Motorweek...which says that the auto Spyders have 205hp. Torque goes up, however, to about 220lb.ft.

My dad had this car back in 98 I wasn't born yet my sis was tho she was 2 he had a GSM (I think convertible it was red and was nice my grandma(dads side thought my dad was crazy cause that thing was fast he had it until like 2004 where he crashed it
