Sorry about the noise from the cart wheels. Their carts are old and the majority of them squeak!!! Also some of the noise was from people around me shopping!!!
Thank you Granny for taking us thrifting. You never know what you might find, the thrill is being surprised at what you do find! I like going into a thrift store!!!
Yes, you are right...I have found brand new items on clearance cheaper than thrift store prices recently. 75% off, my thrifts don't do that one -- that's awesome. I find myself leaving the stores without buying too sometimes. It's nice also to look and not to need anything.
Granny Your store seems well stocked with all kinds of good stuff, it would take a long time to go through everything. Thank you for taking me along. Have a Happy and Healthy holiday.
The Goodwill stores in my area (central Virginia) have the highest prices of all the thrift stores. I prefer shopping at the Catholic charity shop because I know it’s going for a good cause and not lining the pockets of the high ranking executives……🤨 I used to watch a channel with a woman who made beautiful quilts using ONLY thrifted men’s shirts. Her work was absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for taking us along on your shopping trip. I am so astonished at how low the prices are there!!!!😱😱😱 ❤-Brenda
I loved going thrifting with you, Granny. It was fun. I will shop at thrift stores and Estate Sales. I don't need a thing but always like "the thrill of the hunt" for a treasure.
I believe there is a thrift store near me in Linden, Grandma. Linden is a city in New Jersey. I'm just a few towns south of Linden. It's Linden, Clark, Edison and then my town. I live in the township of South Plainfield.
I can’t wait to visit those thrift shops! So far , over here in Kannapolis , NC , there hasn’t been ANY good bargain shopping like what you have over there ! The Goodwills are a lot of time more expensive than buying it brand new! Thanks so much for sharing. Hope we can go shopping soon 😉
Hey Granny, this is the down south Granny. I saw some red checkered curtains I think in a couple places on the curtain isle and I think they match. Those would have been my go to find for the day. I think red checkered curtains are so pretty in a kitchen. I am hoping to find some around my stores, but those really caught my eye. Loved shopping with you and have very blessed week. Love to all and God bless.
Your thrift stores seem such good value. Here in the UK our thrift stores which we call 'charity shops' are often quite expensive which I think puts people off buying things. I know there is still shop rent to pay but yesterday I saw a blouse that looked nice but it cost £14 which I think is too much for something generic ( ie not a well known make) and secondhand. Even scruffy looking paperback books can be £3 each in my local store.
Hi Granny ❤ nice trek through the thrift store. Boy what a great 😃 store lots of stuff unbelievable how much is in there. Here in California not many thrift stores around. Most are really expensive here for clothes. I usually order from Bealls store online or sometimes go to Kohl's not far from me. Hope you are doing well and also Gizmo. Thanks for interesting video. Have a good night. It's hot 🥵🔥 here this week can you believe weather is going up to 121-123 degrees 😢😮 ------ going to be till about July 14-15. Hope you stay cool. Take care 😘 luv M.C. ---- California near Palm Springs.
At an Estate Sale I found a holiday door decor for $3.00. Granted, it was first day, which are always price higher. But I said to the ES dealer, "this is a Dollar Tree item, I'll give you a dollar" and they took it. And it was, I didn't fib.
I love watching you, have followed alot of your udeas, great prices in your thrift store, i wish our stores were great priced, the ones here are almost retail.prices. the one thing I dont understand, all tge name brand name dropping... i look at it a shirt is a shirt or a sheet is a sheet. I never undersrood folks with name branding.... ive had cheap walmart clothes that lasted better then some expensive name brands people have bought me with less wear.
Time to go out and hit the thrift store(s), maybe an Estate Sale, have lunch, alone or with a friend. Make a day of it. Have fun! And, other than lunch and gas used, it's a free activity if you don't buy anything.
I haven't been to a thrift store in so long that I went to 3 in one day. I have stuff to donate and I should have taken them with me. ❤ I will send my husband to take the donations.
Grandma, if I can't find a closer thrift store in the Edison area of NJ which is my neck of the woods. I'll just take the train up to Linden, NJ this weekend and go to the Salvation Army that was Clarence was talking about.
The thrift stores in my area have priced themselves off my radar. I have a local department store where I can do better during their sales. Sad to say.
