being short has crushed my dreams, the little things in life i actually feel passionate about, i would never be good at it because it requires being tall to even enter elite level comps. if i was just tall i could reach my goals instead of just pointlessly existing.

I love how optimistic his viewpoint is! I'm a girl, so obviously I haven't been "discriminated against" for being short as much as my short male peers have, but I remember always wishing I would grow taller, even a little after I was biologically bound to stop growing. I've been 5'3" since I was 12, and I'm almost 18 now, so I'm positive that I definitely won't get that "extra growth spurt" I wanted. At the same time, though, who really cares about all that? Hell, my boyfriend is barely an inch taller than me, and he is by far the greatest person I've ever known. Good things really do come in smaller packages, and I really hope that some of y'all will stop making fun of short folks eventually.

I can sympathize with Dominic a lot, the weird thing about society is that it just favors tall people over short ones for no reason. I remember that time when I was in Grade 7 and a relative visited my family and he said, "Hey! Are you in first grade yet?" Everyone tells me that I'm gonna get a growth spur, but my parents are very short, my dad is 170cm and my mom is 155cm. You get teased all the time about it, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, I mean, what else do you want to be teased about? It's like just a great topic. Plus, there's nothing bad about being treated like the entire class' son. Can you believe it, a person will get treated so differently just because they are a dozen centimeters shorter than the rest, if an alien heard this, they would be shocked.

I am 159cm or about 5’2.5 and to be honest, my height is never really an issue. My day to day life is almost never hindered by my short stature. Yes I do face the occasional problems were being taller would help a lot, but there is almost always ways to work around these problems. The only major problem I face as a short guy is women. The vast majority of women aren’t attracted to me because of my height and I totally get it, they can’t help what aspect of people they are or aren’t attracted to. I don’t really have any advice for finding a partner as a short dude, the only advice I can think of is, look harder. Now I am not trying to sugar coat shortness. Life is tuffer as a short guy, it's just the way it is. You just got to keep on pushing.

When I was young, I struggled a lot because of my height, mostly from being bullied. But I became more resilient. I learnt how to deal with those who bullied me by changing their attitudes toward me. Nowadays as a 154-cm-tall man, I quite comfortable with my height.

I got pretty decent at it and was called lots of weird names like racoons, ECT short aggressive animal.
