There are soooooo many bloody variables, I thought I'd share my thoughts as well. Although, not in the video, I also trimmed about 10MM off my spring too (PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THIS - AS I AM GOING BY MEMORY - VERY DANGEROUS !!!!) - "Per the "Aussie" suggestion" - Not that you need to - But no matter what just make sure you get it tuned right - Which is easy. Long story short - "Lean is mean" and you most certainly don't want it running "fat" - Even though it's a 4 stroke - It can load up on you !!!! Cheers Mate !!!!

Running high test fuel adds nothing to the DR except unnecessary heat.

I have not changed it "yet" - but you bring up a good point. I will look into it further soon. I am in the middle of mounting / wiring some LED "Aux. Lights" as we speak. I'll do some research soon on that. That all said - my DR runs soooooo good - I can't complain at all !!!!!

The Aussie Funnel Web filters have a huge amount of surface area compared to other versions of the DR650 air filters. Check them out.

Warm to very warm. Don't do it cold....

Put a 45 pilot jet in to fix decel popping. Drilling an extra hole in the diaphram just makes the throttle more responsive and touchy.

Its was setup this way from the factory to get it through emission standards not to make the bike run optimal. It needs a little bit of finese to get the most out of it. Easy to achieve 👍🏻

CODE 4....."FUCKEN A" 😬I think my needle was in the 3rd slot, but that doesn't matter. What does matter is how it runs. I know in the beginning of my adventure, it would "load up" while sitting at a stop light - sometimes to the point of dying. Anyway, I could go on and on - that is freakin awesome !!!!! Congrats - You've probably heard me say it - I'd put my DR up against anybody's !!!!! - "except yours now" LOL... Cheers Mate !

Hey bud - a few things. Carb is stock - BUT - that screw you see on my bike is part of the PRO Cycle Carb kit. I'm going by memory here, but you'll probably have to take the carb out, or at least loosen it up real good and twist it so you can get to the bottom. I think there is a little cap - protecting the screw inside - that will have to be removed if it is there - AGAIN - could be wrong. Sorry for the long winded reply - but additionally - on both sides of the "carby" - keep track of several hoses. 2 on the far side that lead to the air box area - and of course - taking off the fuel line & another small one from the tank to the carb on the left side - "where you'll be working".... Side panels, seat and tank should be removed for this. Also loosen / completely open up the "reusable" "zip tie" holding wires and shit under the tank. I wish I was there with you - to show you - but there are lots of videos on this... Lastly - Glendale, AZ....
