I've sent this video to my mum too and will show my aunt who was a child during WWII. My gran and aunt lived in Rochester at the time and my grandmother worked at Short Brothers as an inspector on the Short Sunderland flying boats. She would have been in the factory tunnels at times when working most likely, and almost certainly in the public tunnels if off duty. My aunt would also have hiding in the public tunnels with her, but I'm not sure that she would remember much as she would have been very young at the time.

I visited almost exactly 2 years later & Sam B was there again. I was touched to see the Chris Rayner memorial. He died while exploring almost exactly 1 month from the date this video was posted

Must be a mile or more of tunnels there bro as you seamed to go on for ever. In the day they would have been a true savior to the locals. Thanks so much for showing. All the best

Part two was worth the wait, a huge tunnel system and its looking good apart from the mindless writings. Not sure but I did read that some of the tunnels had a shower system built into some of the ladies lavs . Great work as always and thanks.

11:20: Interesting: Black and blue wiring has been introduced in the UK in 1977. So this has most likely been wired after 1977.

Another quality video. That place is immense. Has anyone mapped the tunnels? I ask, only because they do seem to have a lot of curves and bends in them, and don't seem to be on a strict linear grid like other tunnels you have documented, and I was interested to see what the actual shape of them was. It was odd that some parts were full of odds and sods, and other parts were clear with nicely screeded floors. Nice one, gents.

I can't imagine how long it took to dig these tunnels, lay pipes and electrical wiring, put in sewers for lavatories etc.! Another thing I can't imagine is BEING DOWN THERE FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME in case bombing! How sad humanity goes and for WHAT? A piece of land or to prove I am stronger than you or I am BETTER than you! Sad, very sad.

IKS Exploration sorry, your vlogs are great and really interested, just too much emphasis on "forgotten" "lost" "abandoned". Just a little over dramatic. I know I have said it before but some Asbestos Awareness Training would be good to help minimise your risks. All the best. Bruce
