I don't have sheet music, but I transcribed the lyrics, for anyone interested: Woman is plain, light, form Woman is plain, colored, light Woman is speed, green, shattered Woman is... powerful Woman is shape, breath, form Woman is bone, muscle, light Woman is curve and shadow Woman is... beautiful Black night Bodies and breath I am alive Black water Roll me another one Tobacco and Opium I am on fire Please let me blow the smoke Into your open mouth Here in the night Woman is gone all night Sneak past the room where My daughter sleeps Sleeping child Woman is flesh Kiss lifting Woman is-- Rafaella Black night Holding its breath Hardly alive Black eyes Falling fast into them Tobacco and Opium Flick a match light Please let me hold you close Here in the breathing dark Don't close your eyes A painting is not a woman Or a war horse Or a glittering a sky A painting is canvas (canvas x2) Pigment Plan and design(man and design)(man and design) Every minute design Teach me to live Teach me to breathe Teach me to see No question No hesitation Kiss me I want to feel Your soft lips Your sharp teeth Feel your nails In my flesh Your light Your color Your pulse Your sweat Your speed Your muscle Your flesh Your skin Your bone Your shadow Your breath Your blood Your mouth Your crushed and... Your heartbeat Your heart--beat Your--heart-beat Your heartbeat Your heartbeat, yeah Warm death Bodies and breath I am alive Damn sheets Watching your body rise (watching your body rise) Tangled hair on the pillow In the soft light Please let me watch you here Don't wake up turning Don't open your eyes
@@juicybutterriblydrab Thank you! I was hoping that somebody would chime in lol-- I did my best, but without seeing the musical, I can't be fully confident in my transcription. "Roll me another one" makes a lot of sense!
I believe the only way is to contact the composer directly. He posted a video of himself singing it years ago and when people asked he told them to email him. I haven't been able to find it anywhere
And Matt Gould wrote the music. The show, Lempicka, just had it's World Premier at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts, USA. July 21, 2018. Eden Espinosa sang this song.
Andrew Bates It's a musical called Lempicka, at the show, she explained that it was from a show her friend was workshopping. It's a pretty powerful story too
